Pro Sports Daily:
Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said that running back Rashard Mendenhall will start Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens, according to the team website. Mendenhall has been out four games because of an Achilles injury. Backups Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman have been the primary ball carriers in Mendenhall's absence. Dwyer averaged 95 rushing yards in the last three games. Redman ran for 146 yards in the first game Mendenhall was out. Pittsburgh will likely use all three and emphasize its running game more with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger out with a rib injury. Byron Leftwich will start in Roethlisberger's place.

Free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress, who has been trying all season to find a team that would sign him, may be signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t skip a beat with Byron Leftwich replacing injured Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback Sunday night.
That’s right. Leftwich can do everything Roethlisberger can do. He showed the same stage presence as Roethlisberger when he clutched his throwing shoulder on every other play.
His shoulder bothered him because for some reason his touchdown dance involved...

teelers doctors are reportedly hopeful, though hardly optimistic, that QB Ben Roethlisberger could return in time for Week 13′s matchup against the Ravens, via ESPN.com.
Theres been a lot of estimates in regards to the amount of time Roethlisberger will miss after he suffered a sprained shoulder and a dislocated rib, but it would definitely be surprising if he was indeed...
Per a tweet from Adam Schefter of ESPN, Steelers quarterback Byron Leftiwch broke two ribs Sunday night in their loss against the Ravens:
Leftwich went 18/39 for 201 yards and an interception in his first start in three years. He was in obvious pain after taking a hard shot from Baltimore safety James Ihedigbo. The Steelers ended up losing a close game to their division rival,...
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Baltimore Ravens 13-10 Sunday night at Heinz Field to fall to 6-4 on the season. It was a game that they certainly had a chance to win and below are the players, or group of players, that I thought had winning and losing performances in the game.

Steelers will work out free agent QB Brian Hoyer on Tuesday.Hoyer will work out on the same day as free agent WR Plaxico Burress. This is the quarterback’s third known workout of the season. The Packers and Giants also had Hoyer in for visits. With Byron Leftwich (ribs) in doubt for Week 12 and Charlie Batch likely starting, the Steelers could be in the market for a back-up. ESPN’s...

The game of football and especially at the professional level is about match-ups and being able to take advantage of them. Both the Steelers and Ravens have been scheming all week on how to take advantage of each other’s weaknesses.
Rarely does a game seem so simple in terms of those match-ups than this one and I’ve got it boiled down to the three keys that apply to both teams...

The Pittsburgh Steelers are really hoping that their star running back Rashard Mendenhall makes his return soon, and it looks like that may be this week in a crucial AFC North division match-up with the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday, according to the Associated Press.
The Steelers were without Mendenhall when they went on their four-game winning...

The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a serious blow when quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left the Monday night game. Ben is both the leader and MVP of this team and he is simply irreplaceable. The timing is unfortunate because a murky start to the season was beginning to fade in the rearview mirror and because there are 2 tough matchups against...

With 24 Pro Bowl appearances, 5 Super Bowl rings, and 3 NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards combined, the glory is worthy. They have all had the fortune of enjoying...
