The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Florida State safety Myron Rolle to a futures contract. Rolle, a Rhodes Scholar, was originally drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, but was released prior to the start of the season.
Rolle sat out the 2009 college football season to study at Oxford, but did play in the 2010 Senior Bowl and was invited to the 2010 Scouting Combine. He reportedly ran a 4.59-second 40-yard dash and bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times.
In his three seasons at Florida State, Rolle played in 38 games and made 35 starts at strong safety. Read more [...]

The Steelers will interview Todd Haley for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Haley has proven he is not cut out for being a head coach during his short stint with the Chiefs (2009-11), but had success as an offensive coordinator with the Cardinals (2007-08). He would be a quality replacement for Bruce Arians, and his father (Dick Haley) played for the Steelers in the early 1960s.
As the merry-go-round of potential offensive coordinators continues to spin, I have to comment on something I’ve seen on some social networking sites as well as on Pittsburgh Steelers’ message boards. Several individuals have questioned whether or not Defensive Coordinator Dick LeBeau and his defense are getting a free pass in light of the dismissal [...]
