The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that running back Rashard
Mendenhall will be suspended for one game due to conduct detrimental to the
team, according to Dan Hanzus of NFL.com, while starting left guard Willie
Colon will miss several games after undergoing knee surgery, reports Ed
Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Mendenhall is being punished for not showing up at Heinz
Field for last weekend’s loss to the San Diego Chargers, according to NFL.com.
The running back was told he would not dress against the Chargers.
Mendenhall has been inactive over the past two games after
fumbling against the Cleveland Browns, and the back is third on the team’s
current depth chart behind Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman.
In place of the injured Colon, the Steelers will get
first-round pick David DeCastro back, which will shift Ramon Foster to left
