Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that league sources have informed hit that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the “favorite” to sign free agent WR Steve Breaston. Breaston was recently released by the Chiefs and is available to sign with a team right now. Breaston made his money while playing under offensive coordinator Todd Haley in Arizona and was lured to Kansas City after Haley was hired as the team’s head coach. Pittsburgh is almost certain to loose Mike Wallace during free agency, so it makes sense that they would target some extra depth, even though Breaston doesn’t offer as much as Wallace in terms of speed and the ability to stretch the field.
