Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette believes the Steelers are prepared to make dramatic changes to their offensive line in the coming months. Bouchette expects Max Stark and Ramon Foster to leave during free agency, with Willie Colon being released outright. Colon ended the season on IR after suffering another knee injury. This is the third season in a row that Colon has dealt with a knee injury, so there are plenty of question marks regarding his health in the coming years. 7th round pick Kelvin Beachum could be a replacement option for them at guard. Mike Adams figures to take over as the team’s right tackle, with Marcus Gilbert manning the left tackle position next season. David DeCastro and C Maurkice Pouncey would be the only two members retaining their original positions. The Steelers offensive line has been a weak spot in the last few years, so it makes sense to start getting younger up front with the hope that this unit develops into one of the best offensive lines i...

  • All these changes occurring in the last couple of weeks. Starting with the release of Rainey. Sure is nice having Dan back. Colon will not be missed. All his injuries and penalties take them some where else. I will miss Starks, but they can find a better replcement for Foster. Sure is nice to have Dan back! This is only the beginning.

The “Roethlisberger” Rules and Why You Should Appreciate Him More

Every time someone in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ organization does something wrong outside of football, the inevitable comparison to their all-pro quarterback Ben Roethlisberger comes up and ignites a flurry of positive and negative reaction in the social media world. Like the complete and total idiot I am, I always get sucked into it even though I tell myself to “just let it go...

The Steelers Could Find Their Next James Farrior from Inside the AFC North

In 2002 the New York Jets decided to let James Farrior walk in free agency. Farrior was drafted by the Jets in the first round of the 1997 draft, but was considered a just after five seasons with the team. The Steelers rarely go after free agents unless the player and price is right. They signed Farrior in 2002 and he was the team’s defensive leader for 10 seasons. Farrior led...

Not All Pittsburgh Steelers Fans Are Rooting Against the Ravens in the 2012 AFC Championship Game

This is an unpopular opinion that might cost me my seat at the cool-kids table among Pittsburgh Steelers fans. I want the Ravens to beat the Patriots Sunday. The Ravens and Patriots meet in the AFC Championship Game for the second year in a row. It’s the first time the same teams have met in the AFC title game for two straight seasons since the Browns and Broncos in 1986 and 1987...

Last week reports surfaced that former Pittsburgh Steelers coach and current CBS studio analyst, Bill Cowher, would eventually return to coaching. I guess that report was wrong. Today on the CBS NFL pregame show Cowher must’ve had a change of heart because he told host James Brown that he’s not going anywhere. “Coach, this week it was reported that you are looking to return...
