The Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t rushing QB Ben Roethlisberger back into the lineup, allowing him to work his way onto the practice field at his own pace according to Jason La Canfora. “We’ll leave the door open for him. He has a chance,” said Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. “We’ll let the results of that [week's practice] work lead us in the direction we could potentially go. He’s not going to be allowed to play unless he proves he’s capable.” Pittsburgh needs Roethlisberger back in the lineup if it hopes to compete for a Wild Card berth, considering the team wasn’t able to top the lowly Cleveland Browns on Sunday without their quarterback on the field.
