There are several teams interested in trading for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace, says the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Wallace is a restricted free agent, and while he has found no one willing to sign him to an offer sheet after being tendered at the highest level, a trade might not be as costly. The only question is whether the Steelers would be willing to listen. Wallace apparently will not sign the tender in order, meaning he is prepared to stay way from Pittsburgh's off-season program. If the Steelers retain Wallace, the club could have problems trying to hold on to him next year as an unrestricted free agent - barring using the franchise tag - meaning they might get only one more season out of Wallace before he moved on.

Is Mike Wallace dumber than we thought?

This whole Mike Wallace contract thing is getting a little bit ridiculous now. A month ago when Wallace came out and said he wanted Larry Fitzgerald money, I was convinced it was because he was trying to cut off teams that might be interested by giving them insane demands – he’s not worth Fitz cash yet so if there was a team dumb enough to offer it to him, why wouldn’t he...

Report: Steelers likely won’t entertain offers for Mike Wallace

With the recent rumblings that a bunch of teams are interested in trading for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace, Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette doesn’t see it happening. I agree with Bouchette, the Steelers won’t go out of their way to trade Wallace.  Even though he doesn’t plan on signing his restricted free agent tender, he’ll be playing in Pittsburgh...

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Wednesday on NFL Live that Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace has no plans to sign his one-year, $2.742 million tender. Schefter added that Wallace plans to sit out all of the Steelers offseason workouts until the two sides reach a long-term contract agreement. The restricted free agent deadline of April 20 is now...

Report: Mike Wallace won’t show up for OTA’s

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Evan Silva, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace doesn’t plan on signing his restricted free agent tender, so he won’t be attending OTA’s next week. “He is not going to sign that (RFA) tender, which means he is not going to be at OTA’s with the Steelers, said Schefter, per Silva. With clearly no teams interested in signing...

Mike Wallace is refusing to sign his RFA Tender

Adam Schefter reported on NFL Live this afternoon that Mike Wallace will not be signing his RFA Tender.  Wallace will skip all of the offseason programs.  He plans to hold out until he gets a long term deal.  That is the only deal he plans on signing. Wallace had reported interest in getting a Larry Fitzgerald type deal.  Many thought that it was to see if he could get more then...

Multiple teams interested in trading for Mike Wallace

According to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, there are a handful of teams that are interested in trading for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace. It was just reported yesterday that Wallace won’t be showing up to next week’s OTA’s. So to me, this sounds like his representatives trying to push the Steelers along in getting a long-term extension done...

Three Teams Could Benefit From Pittsburgh’s Mike Wallace

The Pittsburgh Steelers may be kidding themselves when it comes to Mike Wallace not looking good to other NFL teams. I can think of at least three teams that could immediately benefit having Mike Wallace on their team. The Cleveland Browns are the first that comes to mind. The Browns need a wide receiver that is a threat. Currently the Browns have no one on their roster other NFL...

Adam Schefter reported that Mike Wallace has no intentions to sign his restricted free agent tender; that was two days ago. Today the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is reporting that multiple teams are interested in trading for Wallace. This has lead to multiple thought processes on what the Steelers sho Continue

Mike Wallace trying to force the Steelers hand, take two…

It seems that the Steelers Mike Wallace is doing everything in his power to force the media and the blogging nation to continue writing about him this offseason. While I would imagine that isn’t his primary intent, it’s an indirect result of the media circus surrounding him and his contract status going forward. Don’t get me wrong, we here at Steeler Addicts will always report...

Mike Wallace Refuses To Sign Tender?

Wide receiver Mike Wallace reportedly refuses to sign his one-year tender of $2.7M with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Fantasy Spin: Wallace wont be able to participate in OTAs if he doesnt sign the tender, and could ultimately end up being a holdout in Training Camp, as he covets a lucrative long-term deal. It is still too early to consider red flagging...

NFL Notebook: Wallace leads RFA speculation

The market for restricted free agents is pretty soft, but Steelers WR Mike Wallace is the clear gem. With the deadline for RFAs to get offer sheets from other teams, the interest has been slim across the league. Plus, was a parting shot at Tim Tebow in Denver deserved?

Steelers WR Mike Wallace Has No Intentions Of Signing His Restricted Tender

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace has no plans to sign his contract tender, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Wallace, a restricted free agent, received a tender from the Steelers of $2.742 million earlier in the offseason. The 25-year-old will sit out the team’s offseason activities if he doesn’t get a new deal, according to Schefter. The two sides have had a hard...

Jim RacaltoESPN’s Adam Schefter reported via Twitter today that Pittsburgh Steelers WR Mike Wallace has no intentions of signing the free agent tender placed on him, and also plans on sitting out off-season workouts. While the report has not been confirmed by the Steelers, Schefter is usually right on the money with his information. With the [...]Sports-Kings - The Kings of Sports Lists

RFA market nearly irrelevant

Don’t bet on disgruntled Steelers WR Mike Wallace changing addresses via restricted free agency. It’s a reminder of how agents have very little regard for the restricted free agent market.
