The widow of slain QB Steve McNair is battling the courts to unfreeze the former NFL stars assets. McNair played 13 seasons in the NFL, 11 with the Tennessee Titans and two with the Baltimore Ravens. He died and left no will in 2009. A judge in Nashville ruled that his wife would oversee the estate, but after his death his assets (valued at $19.6 million) were frozen. McNair was murdered in July 2009 by his then mistress Sahel Kazemi. He was shot twice in the body and once in the head. Kazemi had a single gunshot to the head. The murder was ruled a murder/suicide and Kazemi was the perpetrator. McNair was 36 years old.I really can't understand why his wife hasn't received his estate and it's been over a year. Something about that seems odd to me and I can only hope things work out in her favor.
