Houston Texans RB Steve Slaton conducted an interview with 610 AM’s Steve Slaton and declared himself 100% healthy after serious neck surgery in the offseason. Houston did draft RB Ben Tate as an insurance policy in case Slaton was unable to return. Even if Slaton is 100%, he has a ways to go to regain his rookie form with Houston.
Slaton suffered a major set back in 2009 with the Texans committing multiple turnovers, a benching and an eventual trip to the IR. It remains to be seen if Slaton will be a feature back again in Houston, but at least his health shouldn’t be a concern heading into training camp.
