When the NY Giants decided not to re-sign receiver Steve Smith, the hate that flowed towards the Giants came in torrents. Giants fans just couldn't believe they weren't re-signing a receiver coming off a major knee injury. At he time, I completely understood the Giants position on Smith. Turns out, it was the correct call."Hey Eli, can I get a ticket to the Super Bowl?"Steve Smith signed a one-year contract with the Eagles. Keep in mind, the Giants doctors said he would probably miss the first half of the season to rehab the knee. The Eagles doctors said he would be ready for the start of the season.
