When Jackson offcially voided his contract with the St. Louis Rams on March 7th, Falcons fans everywhere were instantly enamored with the possibilty of the back coming to Atlanta.
Luckily for us, everything fell into place and Jackson has now reached a three-year agreement with the team. D. Orlando Ledbetter reported that the deal is for three years, although full financial details were not disclosed.
The 29-year-old is currently the only active player to have over 10,000 rushing yards and has posted eight consecutive seasons of 1000-plus yards rushing.
Jackson will now, for the first time in his career, be able to legitimately contend for a championship. And he'll be able to do so without having to literally carry his team like he has for the last decade.
With that, how are you feeling about the signing? How would you rank the Falcons offseason moves as of now?
Also, how do you think Jackson, at nearly 30-years-old, will realistically adjust to a new system? More importantly, how do you think he will adjust to playing for a pass heavy team?
