Found June 17, 2013 on NFL Trade Rumors:
It’s been reported this offseason that the Washington Redskins and linebacker Brian Orakpo have wanted to get a long-term extension done before he enters the final year of his current contract. With training camp just over a month away, the two parties have yet to work on an extension. The good news however is that Orakpo doesn’t appear to use the lack of new paper as ammo to hold out of camp. “I’m not worried about it,” Orakpo told the Washington Post last week. “I’m concentrating on having a successful season. Everything will take care of itself.” Orakpo, 26, is coming off another torn pectoral that cost him his second straight season. While Orakpo’s career has gotten off to a great start, Washington may want to wait until they see how he’s recovery before visiting long-term contract discussions. We have Orakpo listed as the No. 17 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agents list. The post Still No Progress Between Brian Orakpo & Redskins Regarding An Extension appeared first on ...

The Return of Roy Helu

Nine months after injuring ligaments in his toe, Redskins running back Roy Helu, Jr. was seen taking handoffs, catching passes, cutting and running full speed.  The Redskins front office was forced to bring in competition for 3rd year running backs Helu and Evan Royster because of their injured and ineffective 2012 campaign behind 6th round rookie sensation Alfred Morris. Redskins training camp is quickly approaching as it is now less than six weeks away. A few weeks ago we visited training camp battles within each position group. Pat White “thankful” for his chance to play again

Quarterback Pat White was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 2009. By the end of 2010, White was cut by the team and many assumed his career was over at that point. Fast forward to 2013 and you’ll find the Washington Redskins giving White a shot and he’s thankful for it. I know that there’s still a lot to be learned, a lot for me to accomplish, but I’m willing to put in the...
