No matter how you sell it, I’m just not buying Nick Foles as the starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013. Though this subject had been somewhat lying low, it just popped up again recently after Foles was interviewed this week. He was asked several questions about the potential of him being the starter as well as being a fit in Kelly’s offense. Some beat reporters tweeted that he was a “little edgy” in his responses, but here are a few quotes from Foles as provided by Jeff McLane and Zach Berman: “I wouldn’t be here right now if I didn’t [think I could start],” Foles said Wednesday at the NovaCare Complex as the Eagles continued offseason workouts. “I think I would be somewhere else. Yeah, I believe I fit here.” “Chip hadn’t defined an offense; it’s just up-tempo,” Foles said. “I remember playing against him in college, and I believe whoever the quarterback is, whoever’s on your team, you build your offense around that. I felt like I can go in and run everything.

Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles has been all but counted out as a projected starter in Philadelphia. There were reports that Kelly and the Eagles were going to trade Foles.
Foles is still around, and as the Eagles begin their off-season workouts and preparations, Foles thinks he can run Kelly’s uptempo spread offense, and as he told USA Today, “he’s ready to run it.”...

As we continue to count down the days till the 2013 NFL Draft, it is time to end the speculation and put one final piece of work down.
In the final first round mock draft, the biggest question is how many quarterbacks were selected?
Only one quarterback, Geno Smith was selected towards the end of the draft by a surprise team who had to trade back up to get him.
All the talk is about...
After signing Chip Kelly as their new head coach, most Philadelphia Eagles fans thought their offense would be uptempo. Apparently, even Kelly’s practices will be uptempo (Credit: AP Photo) When the Philadelphia Eagles signed former Oregon head coach as their new head coach, most assumed the team would start running an uptempo style of offense. With off-season practices getting...
Chip Kelly may not run an exact replica of the Oregon offense in the NFL, but he will implement one facet of it, speed. If you have watched Tom Brady and the New England Patriots offense the past few years, you’d notice the up tempo, speed the game up style. Bill Belichick spent time with Kelly learning new tricks on how to make his offense run faster, and now Kelly will bring...
We’re in the depths of the long football offseason, but lo! A slight vision of hope on the horizon. The release of the Philadelphia Eagles preseason schedule. Kinda sorta.
It’s something, right?
The exact dates and times are not yet fixed, but in the first preseason under head coach Chip Kelly, the Birds’ schedule will be as follows:
August 8 – 11: vs. New England
The Philadelphia Eagles said goodbye to Nnamdi Asomugha, Dominique Rogers-Cromartie and hello to Cary Williams, but one cornerback that has to take the next step in his development in 2013 is Curtis Marsh Jr.; you remember Curtis Marsh right? The third round pick from the 2011 draft class of the Eagles.
Well he has been buried in the depth chart, because of guys like Asomugha...
