By Anthony Caruso III The Capital Sports Report Owner/Managing Editor/Sr. Writer The Tampa Bay Storm has lost a member of their family on Saturday night. Tampa Bay Storm Storm wide receiver Chandler Williams has passed away of what is being reported as a suspected heart condition. He was participating in a flag football tournament in Miami at the time of his death. He was just 27 years old. He would have been 28 years old on August 9th. He was the second ever player to be drafted into the NFL from Florida International University. He was selected in the 7th round of the 2007 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings. However, he never made an NFL roster. He was on the Vikings practice squad in 2007, before spending part of the 2007 and all of the 2008 season on the Miami Dolphins practice squad. He was with the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad from 2009 to 2011. He played with the Tampa Bay Storm for part of the 2012 Arena Football season, before signing with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He signed with the Argonauts in July 2012, and had four receptions for 88 yards, before being released in October 2012. With the Storm, he had 83 receptions for 996 yards and 17 touchdowns. © 2007-2013 The Capital Sports Report. All rights reserved.
