Michael Strahan has told the Giants that he will remain retired and move into the next chapter of his life. Who can blame him? He put in 15 long seasons with this franchise and went out on his own terms with a championship win in probably the greatest Super Bowl of all time. He has nothing left to prove. As a Giants fan I would love nothing more for him to come back and save the day but lets face it he is not in game shape. He has spent the last few months not mentally and physically preparing himself for another tough season of the NFL. What if he came back and looked like an old man? Nobody wants to see that. You can bet your life that he wasn't coming back to make a fool out of himself. It would of taken him probably 6 weeks to get into game shape. Now we get to finally see what Mathias Kiwanuka can do at Defensive End which by the way is his natural position. You can't replace a Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora with Justin Tuck and Mathias Kiwanuka but it doesn't mean they won't have a great year anyway. You never know. They just have to remember what got them to the Super Bowl in the first place. RESILIENCY!!
