This is a very well written letter by Valentina from Rick’s Cabaret in NYC. Dear Rex, Can you please give Geno Smith another chance? I know he messed up by throwing three INTs against the Giants, and yes, it was really bad when he stepped out of the end zone and gave up a safety, but it was the first time he ever started in an NFL game. He was nervous–I know I would be! A lot of the Rick’s Cabaret Girls here like Mark Sanchez because they think he’s cute. But that is not a good reason for him to be quarterback for the New York Jets! I think Sanchez has had his chance the last four years (!) and he showed that he can’t do it! Geno Smith is the future, Mark Sanchez is the past. Thank you for your consideration, and if you like my photos, you can come see me and over 100 beautiful exotic dancers in person at Rick’s Cabaret. I promise you will have a good time. Love, Valentina That is some sound reasoning to me. Also, I think she was subliminally telling Rex he can come check out her fe...

Rex Ryan’s ‘Sideways’ Press Conference Becomes Sports’ Latest Memorable Postgame Meltdown (Gallery)

It was just a matter of time that Rex Ryan was going to explode, but did we really expect it to happen this quickly? The New York Jets head coach had his first of what could be multiple mini-meltdowns this season after the Jets’ preseason game against the Giants on Saturday night. Left to answer questions about why Mark Sanchez was playing in fourth quarter, Ryan was eventually...

A New Fan Favorite Emerges

Florham Park, NJ – "You never know.'A fitting way to describe Ryan Spadola's chances coming into training camp this year, and the words the undrafted rookie receiver out of Lehigh used to describe his thoughts coming into work today: the first cut day.But after a game in which Spadola pulled in three catches for 110 yards and a touchdown, it would've been a shock...

Stripper Writes a Letter to Rex Ryan Asking For Him to Start Geno Smith

This letter was written to Rex Ryan from Valentina, a stripper from Rick’s Cabaret and the ‘dancer’ makes some valid points about the Jets QB situation.  See the letter below and H/T to FoxSports for the scoop: Dear Rex, Can you please give Geno Smith another chance? I know he messed up by throwing three INTs against the Giants, and yes, it was really bad when he stepped out...

Ryan, Sanchez both flubbed Jet mess?

It's been a tough offseason for Rex Ryan. The New York Jets coach has tangled with the local press , maybe possibly had a rift with team brass , had people call for his job , had Randy Moss call him " embarrassing " and got chased by bulls in Spain (though that appears to be voluntary). Most recently, Ryan made a controversial decision during Saturday's preseason...

Jets beat Eagles in back-up bowl to finish off preseason

With most of the starters getting the night off, including quarterbacks Geno Smith and Mark Sanchez, the Jets won the "Back-up Bowl," 27-20, on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium.A rough first series aside, quarterback Matt Simms did a lot to improve his roster stock against the Eagles' back-ups, going 33-44 with 285 yards, the most by...

Gov. Christie, tabloid drop gloves

New Jersey governor Chris Christie is no stranger to voicing his opinion, even when it's not necessarily a popular one. He's also no stranger to being goaded by the media. But on Monday, those worlds collided during Christie's guest-hosting spot on WFAN's Boomer and Carton show in New York -- and the results weren't pretty. In short, Christie took New York Daily...

Sanchez status topic of debate

Will Geno Smith get the opening-game started for the New York Jets? Multiple media reports are quoting sources saying that Mark Sanchez will not be ready to return to action in time for the Sept. 8 opening game against Tampa Bay, giving rookie Smith the nod in what has already been a tight competition for the starting slot. He was held out of Thursday night's game against the...

What About Greg McElroy?

The New York Jets high brass decidedly gave Geno Smith the keys to the starting job this past weekend, but all he did was prove how unready he truly is for the game at the professional level. Head coach Rex Ryan kept Smith in the game for more than three-quarters – the time traditionally given for the Week One starter – and thereafter inserted incumbent Mark Sanchez for the remainder...

Smallthoughts:Rants and Raves

Rants: Rex Ryan …Tick Tick Tick the sound you hear is the sound of a coach looking to get fired. How else do you explain his bizarre behavior at his press conference this week? Turning his back on the media as he is answering a question isn’t a smart move for a coach who is trying to impress his new boss in John Idzik. Ryan’s handling of the quarterback situation is classless...

Rex Ryan-Mark Sanchez Controversy Gets Crowded as Columnist Mike Lupica Goes After New Jersey Governor Chris Christie

Fairly soon, it’s going to be quicker to list the people who haven’t weighed in on Sanchezgate than those who have. New York Daily News columnist Mike Lupica became the latest to pipe up on Tuesday, responding to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie‘s harsh words about Jets beat writer Manish Mehta in a radio interview on Monday. Mehta, Lupica’s colleague at the Daily News, was...
