We tried to warn Wisconsin media types last week that BC was about to dominate their asses on salacious sports/entertainment news. Then we broke the news that Ryan Braun was engaged to Larisa Fraser. A few outlets blew us off as just being some annoying, disgraceful blog that investigates stupid athlete relationship stories for pageviews.
Then, on Monday, we took two screencaps off an ESPN3.com broadcast of Saturday’s Vandy-Ole Miss game of Aaron Rodgers and his girlfriend. As you now know from the screencaps, Destiny Newton was wearing a shiny rock on her ring finger.
It was a BC exclusive. In a matter of five days this disgraceful, pageview-whoring site broke the two biggest sports/entertainment stories of the year in Wisconsin.
And guess what those Wisconsin media outlets were asking Aaron Rodgers during his Wednesday interview session?
According to Paul Imig of Fox Sports Wisconsin:
Any inquiries about Aaron Rodgers’ personal life are consistently met with an immediate dismissal by the Packers’ MVP quarterback. As reports surfaced this week that Rodgers is now engaged to his girlfriend, the fiercely private 28-year-old refused to discuss it during his Wednesday interview with local media.
“My personal life is my personal life,” Rodgers said. “It’s always going to stay that way, and I will not comment on it.”
Rodgers, who fielded 10 questions before being asked about his potential engagement to his girlfriend, then added, “But you won the bet,” to the television reporter who wanted the inside scoop on a story posted by BustedCoverage.com on Tuesday.
Radio stations are asking women if they’re devastated. “That’s too bad, no, I was hoping he could… Be my boyfriend,” one woman said.
TV stations, as we predicted, are losing their minds. This was on Fox Milwaukee on Tuesday. Just watch this. I said WATCH THIS.
I can only imagine that Stephanie Sutton was biting her pillow last night over the heartbreak. We tried to find Stephanie’s report, but it was nowhere to be found and searching a TV site for a specific video is a miserable experience.
