The last remaining undefeated team in the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons, is looking to complete a perfect first half as they take on the 3-4 Dallas Cowboys. The Falcons have a large lead in the NFC South, while the Cowboys are attempting to climb back into NFC East race. Matt Ryan is everyone’s MVP leader so far. Can he keep the magic going against the Cowboys on Sunday night? Atlanta Falcons The Falcons currently have a four-game lead in the NFC South, and they will likely hold this lead until they inevitably clinch the division. Every time they are expected to lose they come through and show why they are the best team in the league. The Falcons are not statistically superior on offense or defense, as they have the twelfth-overall offense in the league, along with the 20th defense. They are simply able to put together over a full game, without ever falling apart in the fourth quarter. There is really nothing to say that is negative about the Falcons, even though they are not gaining the respect they deserve. They were underdogs in the odds a week ago against the Eagles, just because Andy Reid was perfect after bye weeks. This should not have applied when the Falcons were coming in at 6-0, and they proved this with a convincing 30-17 win. Dallas Cowboys Dallas has been playing average football all season. They are currently 3-4, which gives them the same amount of wins as the Redskins and Eagles on the season. The playoffs become a topic of discussion this time of year. That being said, the Cowboys are near the bottom of the NFC, and a loss against Atlanta would certainly make a playoff berth a tough task. The Cowboys have not been blown out in their last two losses, which shows how close they are to being a playoff-contending team. The last two losses came by a combined seven points to the Giants and Ravens respectively. But close is not an option for the organization, so changes could be made if the wins do not start coming. For Dallas to win they will have to hold Atlanta to far under their average of over 28 points per game. Dallas has not been able to consistently score in this range in their wins. They seem to score more when they lose, which is a surprising trend. Cowboys-Falcons Prediction The Falcons frequently come in as underdogs, but a win last week changed that. They will continue to be undefeated with a win over the Cowboys.
