Found February 05, 2013 on It's Always Sunny in Detroit:
According to, Sunday’s Super Bowl was the most bet-on in history at $98.9 million.  It beat the $94.5 million bet on the 2006 Super Bowl (Seattle-Pittsburgh).  This year’s champ, the Baltimore Ravens, find themselves with the fifth best odds for winning next year’s Super Bowl at 14/1.  The last team to repeat was the New England Patriots in 2004 and 2005. Eight of the ten most likely teams to win next year’s big game were in the playoffs this season.  The only two, New Orleans and Pittsburgh, have the same odds as the Atlanta Falcons who were a last-minute touchdown away from playing Baltimore on Sunday. The Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts were both Wild Card teams in 2012-13, but are looked as longshots at 40/1.  If I’m going to take a stab with a team that is beyond the ten most likely teams, I’ll go with the Giants at 20/1. Otherwise, my early pick is San Francisco.  Tell us who your proverbial money is on in the comments section.
