San Diego Chargers linebacker Takeo Spikes is rich, rich with love from his mother. He turned 36 years old on Monday and his mom didn't forget about him. This Instagram photo that Spikes posted is quite hilarious. It's a picture of his mom's gift of $36 and a note saying "don't spend it all in one place." Nothing like some old mom humor to end the day. Oh yea, and Spikes makes about 3 million dollars a year if you were wondering.

Now that reports have surfaced that Norv Turner will be fired as the head coach of the San Diego Chargers, he seemingly has made his peace with the inevitable.
Turner has always been lauded as having an offensive mind and he stated on Wednesday that he can see himself walking into a new situation as the offensive coordinator or as a position coach.

Kevin Acee of Union-Tribune San Diego tweets that current Chargers head coach Norv Turner will have “his pick of at least five” offensive coordinator jobs once he’s fired.
Acee specifically mentions that Jets could have interest in bringing in Turner to run their offense, but adds that “he will not end up in New York.”
It’s been suggested for awhile now that if Turner...
The San Diego Chargers have placed wide receiver Malcolm Floyd, running back Ryan Mathews and tackle Reggie Wells on the season-ending Reserve-Injured List, the team announced Tuesday. The three players were injured during the Chargers' home loss to the Carolina Panthers last Sunday. Floyd suffered an ankle injury after starting the first 14 games, catching 56 passes for...
Before Week 15, there were 8 victims of the NFL grind, and with arguable exceptions, they were all declared 'dead men walking' quite some time ago. After Week 15's slate of games, there would be another quartet of lifeless masses heaped upon the Football Nation Morgue, all with just a smidgen more optimism than that original group of tagged-and-bagged cases. As these final...
Norv Turner says he hasn't given much thought to what's expected to be his last week as coach of the San Diego Chargers.
Turner has heard all the speculation he'll be fired because the Chargers are out of the playoffs for the third straight year.
The coach says team president Dean Spanos hasn't told him anything about his future. Spanos has said he'll decide...
San Diego Chargers coach Norv Turner won't be "San Diego Chargers coach Norv Turner" for very long. After getting fired by the Chargers in two weeks, he'll likely become some needy team's offensive coordinator by the end of January. That team could very well be the New York Jets. The Tony Sparano experiment didn't work out in 2012 for the Jets, and Sparano...

The Chargers are 5-9 with 2 winnable games left on the schedule. The problem is, they don’t win winnable games. They’ve lost their last 4 games and 7 of their last 8 when favored or as small underdogs. They somehow beat Pittsburgh as huge underdogs, when the the...
Chargers receiver Malcom Floyd (ankle) has been placed on injured reserve.Fantasy Spin:Floyd (56-814-5) apparently suffered an ankle injury in Week 15 against the Panthers. Without Floyd, Philip Rivers becomes even less appealing in Week 16 against the New York Jets and their No. 2 ranked pass defense. Danario Alexander will likely see more targets but he'll be difficult to trust...
Week 15 Injury Analysis is up and there’s not a lot of new injuries to discuss so I’m going to make this a “Reader’s Suggestion Issue” in which I’m going to let anyone make a comment regarding what player’s they would like updates on and I will be given quick responses so that you can hopefully use the information to take down the crown in our league.
There is just...
The 5-9 San Diego Chargers travel to the 6-8 New York Jets for a game with zero playoff implications and that has not been receiving much attention except for the Jets' QB controversy and the Chargers' head coach Norv Turner's long-overdue firing. However, there is some intrigue. Maybe intrigue is too strong a word. Perhaps mild entertainment value is more apropos.The...
