The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been working hard to get all of their 2012 Draft class under contract and now have just one player – No. 7 overall pick safety Mark Barron – that remains unsigned. That's because on Monday the Buccaneers announced that they inked running back Doug Martin to a five-year contract.
Martin was selected No. 31 overall by the Bucs after the team traded back into the first round with the Denver Broncos. According to an internet report, Martin's deal is worth $6.787 million with a $3.376 million bonus.
While at Boise State, Martin was the complete package. He stared 25 games for the Broncos and rushed for 3,341 yards on 617 carries (5.4 yards per carry) and scored 43 touchdowns.
