Found September 26, 2012 on The Football Fan Spot:
Last week: 18 (-10) Record: 1-2 The Buccaneers are one of the few teams I’ve underrated before the season that’s actually become overrated 3 weeks into it. The Buccaneers have hung tough, on the scoreboard, with the Giants and Cowboys and beat the Panthers, but they’re not playing that well. They rank dead last in the league in yards per play differential, with a -2.0. No other team has one worse than -1.0. They’ve had a tough schedule, but they’ve looked completely inept on both sides of the ball. They’re winning the turnover battle (+4), but you can’t rely on that going forward. They’ve also lost starting defensive end Adrian Clayborn for the season. At the end of the year, look for this team to be right around where they were last year, maybe a little better. Studs MLB Mason Foster: 7 solo tackles, 7 stops, 1 missed tackle, 2 catches for 17 yards on 3 attempts DT Gerald McCoy: 2 sacks, 1 quarterback hit, and 3 quarterback pressures on 39 pass rush snaps, 1 solo tackles, 3 stops L...

Bucs cheerleaders go Gangnam Style

It's seems like everyone is trying their hand at re-creating the viral phenomenon known as "Gangnam Style." The Tampa Bay Buccaneers mascot and cheereleaders were the latest to do so as you can see in the video above. The original "Gangnam Style" video on YouTube has already amassed 285 million views and nearly three million likes, which makes it the most...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' top ranked rush defense has tough test against Washington Redskins

Yes, you read the headline correctly. It is not a typo. Through three games this season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the league's best run defense. The same defense that ranked dead last in the NFL last season by allowing a franchise-worst 156.1 rushing yards per game has transformed into a dominant run-stopping machine. The Bucs are only giving up 47.3 rushing yards...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers change punt returners again, cut Jordan Shipley and sign Roscoe Parrish

Last week, wide receiver Jordan Shipley was re-signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to take over the punt return duties for the ineffective Preston Parker. It didn't take long for Shipley to let the job go right through his hands, literally. After muffing a punt against Dallas that led to the Cowboys scoring three points, Shipley finds himself searching for work again. The...

Warren Sapp and John Lynch nominated for the Hall of Fame

There is no doubt that Warren Sapp and John Lynch played huge roles in the success of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Today, their careers have been acknowledged by being nominated for 2013′s Pro Football Hall of Fame. The list, which contains 127 nominees, also includes three other members from that memorable Super Bowl run for the Bucs: Lomas Brown, Keyshawn Johnson and Keenan McCardell...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders Go Gangnam Style, Because That’s Still A Thing

Captain Fear from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and, more importantly, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders have produced their own Gangnam Style video. Somewhere the Oregon Duck is rolling his eyes and quacking about how he did this a month ago, when Gangnam Style didn’t get on everybody’s nerves. Bucs release Shipley, sign Parrish

The Buccaneers continue to shuffle their wide receiving position. After signing Jordan Shipley last week and head coach Greg Schiano saying they were glad he was still available, the team released him yesterday and signed veteran wide receiver Roscoe Parrish. Parrish was a second round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2005. For his career, he has 134 receptions for 1,502 yards and...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers mascot and cheerleaders Gangnam Style (Video)

How Will Adrian Claiborn’s Injury Impact Buccaneers This Season?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed defensive end Adrian Clayborn on Injured Reserve Monday, according to the team’s press release. Clayborn injured his right knee in Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys, 16-10. Clayborn started the first three games of the 2012 season for the Buccaneers.  The team’s first-round draft pick (20th overall) in the 2011 NFL Draft, Clayborn started...

Bucs waive Shipley, add veteran Parrish

Jordan Shipley's brief stay with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers came to an abrupt end Tuesday, derailed by a fumbled punt Sunday in a 16-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The free agent wide receiver and special teams player was waived and replaced on the roster by eight-year wide receiver and standout return man Roscoe Parrish, the longtime Buffalo Bill and former Miami Hurricane. The...

Buccaneers add DE Jeff Charleston to roster

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed defensive end Jeff Charleston to fill a roster spot that opened when Adrian Clayborn was placed on injured reserve. Clayborn is out for the season after hurting his right knee during last Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Charleston practiced with the team for the first time on Wednesday. Charleston is a sixth-year pro who spent...

Tampa Bay Bucs Mascot goes Gangnam style (not horrible)

Okay, we are kind of ashamed to admit we get a good laugh out of these Gangnam style videos. They aren't nearly as obnoxious as the "Call Me Maybe" spin-off's. And that, despite the words to Ganngam being mostly Korean. Of course we aren't sure what language "Call me Maybe" is in either. Anyway. Take a look at the video the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...

Da’Quan Bowers hoping to make an impact for the Bucs

With defensive end Adrian Clayborn done for the season, Da’Quan Bowers is hoping to help the Buccaneers out once he comes off the PUP list after week six. “There is still a long ways to go, I’m still about four weeks away,” said Bowers, who was placed on the physically unable to perform list a month ago. “Right now, I’m just taking it day by day. It’s up to coach (Greg...

Malcom Floyd: Breakout Fantasy Season

Malcom Floyd is primed and on pace for a break-out fantasy season in 2012. As it seems, the Charger receiver has finally emerged from under the shadow of Vincent Jackson. Floyd has spent the past 6 seasons playing second fiddle to the 2-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, that was until Jackson signed a 5-year deal with Tampa Bay during the off-season. As a result, the door is wide open...

Week 3 Fantasy Football Recap: Rams vs. Bears

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10, Dallas Cowboys 16This was probably the ugliest all-around game of the week, as there wasn’t a lot of good football played here.  Both teams scored TDs in the first quarter, then traded field goals the rest of the way.  Josh Freeman (111 total yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) was simply dreadful, but he at least threw a touchdown pass to soften the blow for anyone...
