Tank Johnson has announced he is back with the Bengals but the has not officially announced the signing but are expected to do so on Tuesday or Wednesday. ESPN reported that the deal is for four years.
Johnson announced on Twitter: “Cinci we got a deal! Very greatfull to The Browns and all the Who Dey Nation!!! I’m Baaaaaaaack!!!! Now let’s win some more.”
Things did not appear good last Friday when Johnson’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, posted on Twitter for his client to pack his bags because they were going to visit other teams this week.
At the NFL Scouting Combine last week, defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer was happy with Johnson’s first season with the Bengals. Brought in as a three-technique pass rusher, the six-year defensive tackle played 14 games (starting 13) and had 39 tackles with two sacks.
While Zimmer was disappointed in Johnson’s sack numbers, he was pleased with what he got.
