Found November 10, 2013 on Gridiron Grit:
PLAYERS: Tavon Austin
TEAMS: St. Louis Rams
St. Louis Rams rookie receiver Tavon Austin was hands down one of the most disappointing prospects from the 2013 NFL Draft through the first half of the season, posting 31 receptions for just 207 yards and two touchdowns in nine games (two starts). The first round pick (No. 8 overall) out of West Virginia also chalked up 123 yards on 26 punt returns (4.7 YPR) and 185 yards on eight kick returns (23.1 YPR), but it’s nowhere near the amount of production many expected from the 5-8, 176-pound speedster. Well, Austin, 22, has finally found his niche—to say the least—in Week 10′s test against the Indianapolis Colts. Tavon Austin!!!! Going off against the Colts…314 All-Pupose yards and 3 TD early in the 3rd quarter (NFL Record is 404 Yards) — Joel Klatt (@joelklatt) November 10, 2013 After finding the end zone for his first career touchdown from a special teams play on a 98-yard punt return TD in the second quarter, Austin followed it up with a 57-yard touchdown reception from QB Kellen ...

Tavon Austin Has a Career Day for the St. Louis Rams Against Indianapolis

Anyone that was still wondering why the St. Louis Rams drafted the tiny wide receiver from West Virginia (5' 8" and just 176 pounds; I have thoughts that are bigger than him) should not doubt the call after the performance the diminutive rookie turned in against the Colts. His hips may lie, but the numbers don't--310 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns! @SBNationGIF...

Tavon Austin Runs Really Fast for 81-Yard Score, Shimmy Shakes in End Zone to Celebrate Third Touchdown (GIF)

Tavon Austin went from bust to boom in one fell swoop on Sunday. Austin, who was the eighth overall pick in April’s draft, hadn’t done much to confirm his lofty draft status through the first nine weeks of his rookie season. But the speedy receiver did all he could to change those opinions with a big day against the Colts on Sunday. Austin scored three touchdowns in a 12-minute...

Rams WR Tavon Austin explodes for career day

Outside of the Jaguars grabbing their first victory of the season and maybe the Bengals successful Hail Mary to force overtime vs. the Ravens, the wackiest game on the Week 10 schedule had to be the Rams facing the Colts on the road. Indianapolis was a 9.5-point favorite and was coming off big wins vs. the Broncos and Seahawks in recent weeks, and it seemed as though the Colts shouldn...

Rookie Report: Tavon Austin and Zac Stacy Have Become the New Faces of Rams Offense

A team devoid of talent at skill positions, the St. Louis Rams were aggressive on draft day. Their first pick, Tavon Austin, was the first non-lineman drafted in April, selected 19 spots ahead of the next receiver. Their last pick, Zac Stacy was the 13th running back off the board, despite being one of the more polished runners in the class. However, regardless of where...

Austin runs wild, Rams jolt Colts 38-8

Even though the roof was closed at Lucas Oil Stadium, it was a day of thunderbolts — thunderbolts delivered by the underdog Rams. Chris Long’s first NFL touchdown. Tavon Austin scoring touchdowns without having them called back by penalty. You talk about strange sights at Lucas Oil. The Rams had four touchdowns of 45 yards or more, building up a lead that not even phenom Indianapolis...

St. Louis Rams at Indianapolis Colts: Five Things We Learned

As the St. Louis and Indianapolis game approached I bet alot of people were more willing to watch paint dry than watch an Andrew Luck vs. Kellen Clemen matchup. The Colts came in leading their division with a (6-2) record while the Rams had lost three in a row and had fallen to (3-6).Things didn't go as expected for the Colts and Colts fans alike and here are the five things...
