60 Max Power O:
So far in this camp all the focus has been on Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez, but the interest took a slight right turn the past couple of days when the Jets have been fighting with each other on the field. Is this a big deal, hardly, but it’s news worthy because of the first guy I mentioned.
The Jets don’t need HBO to come in and film Hard Knocks, we have more coverage with the media reporting the stories they are and you have heard it all from Circus, to Rex losing control, to problem children like Santonio Holmes and Antonio Cromartie.
So when the players were asked last night if they want to do a walk through or take a break to see a movie as a team, they jumped on the second option, and tweeted about it.
needed to get away, so Rex Ryan cancelled meetings, took team to previously scheduled night at local movie theater, per source. 8/7/12 7:12 PM

Team meeting: option to run more gashers or option to go to the movies! Which one you think we picked? Rex best coach ever! #JetLife

Yeah I’m with Terrance, did you see the team running gashers because of the fights?

If there’s one thing we know about Rex Ryan, it’s that he always keeps it classy — always. As you can see from the photo above that Twitter user @AlexMarroquin8 shared on Friday, Ryan recently went out in public wearing a shirt that read “I’d hit that” across the front. Of course, the shirt is a direct reference to the game of baseball and has no hidden meaning whatsoever...
The Rex Ryan show is now in its fourth year of existence down in New York, and by this point one thing is clear: Ryan, and by extension the Jets teams that he coaches, absolutely revel in controversy. After making it to the AFC championship game in his first two season at the helm of the team, it’s easy to make the argument that it’s been a successful strategy, foot fetishes...
CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Rex Ryan ordered his players to cut out all the nonsense. When the New York Jets ignored their coach, it was time to run. And run some more. A day after a 20-player throwdown highlighted a chippy practice, Ryan made his players run a series of sprints Tuesday as punishment for a few minor scuffles on the field. "I think, sometimes, you're trying to be physical...
A day after a 20-player brawl highlighted a chippy practice, Jets coach Rex Ryan had his players run a series of sprints Tuesday as punishment for a few minor scuffles on the field.
With most of the media off to the side speaking with team owner Woody Johnson, a few players got into it and Ryan immediately called the team together. He shouted at his players and then had them run...
The Jets spent five minutes running sprints under vociferous orders from Rex Ryan after the third training camp scuffle in two days cause the coach to lose his cool. Ryan stopped practice Tuesday after the second altercation in a span of less than 20 minutes. He ordered the entire roster to run sprints and after about five minutes, pulled the team into a circle and gave a red-faced...
According to RIch Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has ruled out wide receiver Santonio Holmes from playing in this week’s preseason opener.
“Santonio Holmes, battling a rib-cartilage injury, was ruled out Wednesday by Rex Ryan. Slot receiver Jeremy Kerley (hamstring) also won’t play, leaving a patchwork receiving corps. Rookie Stephen...
New York wide receiver Santonio Holmes will be kept out of practice for at least a week while he tends to a rib injury.Fantasy Spin:Holmes (51 catches, 654 yards, eight TDs in 2011) should be fine by the time the regular season gets going but he's not expected to enjoy much fantasy success this season with the shaky combination of Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow under center.
With the New York Jets first preseason game just on the horizon, Rex Ryan is eager to unveil a retooled Gang Green squad
Mark Sanchez (Cummings/AP) is he is right leader for the Jets?
Another fight, you’re kidding right? Sadly, no, the New York Jets once again lost their cool and another fight happened. Even though head coach Rex Ryan had a forceful speech with them. Is this a reason to be concerned with? Or, just a bunch of men ready to hit someone else?
It may be both reasons, but the fact is the...
This edition of the Bearcat Blog countdown is a little different. It's about a two sport athlete. It's about a Bearcat Hall of Famer. Most importantly, that player sat down and talked with me about his Bearcat career. That great person is Brad Jackson. #16Brad Jackson ResumeBrad Jackson was a great player who came to Cincinnati at the absolute best time for someone of his...
The first set of preseason games kick off this week and there's plenty of news circulating around the league with these matchups looming.
First we must mention the death of Garrett Reid, Andy's son. Days after committing suicide at the team headquarters for training camp, the funeral was held on Tuesday, with close to 1,000 people attending.
The highlight of New York Jets training camp today was a brawl featuring about 20 Jets players, right near fans, with Rex Ryan pulling participants out of the pile. Fisticuffs are a pretty normal part of the training camp grind, as there comes a point when everyone is tired of seeing the same faces, tired of knocking heads with the same people, and irritated about getting up early...
For the second day in a row, the New Jersey Jets training camp had to be stopped multiple times to break up scuffles between players. Yesterday, it was that underachiever Joe McKnight throwing balls at people after plays. Today, TE Dustin Keller and CB Antonio Cromartie went at it causing Rex Ryan to stop practice
