As we slowly make the transition from football season to the offseason, there are a number of different approaches that teams are taking. Some teams have blown it up, and are in the middle of starting over while some teams are simply looking to add a little more talent to their rosters before the start of the 2013 season. Here's a short list of interesting teams to watch as the offseason gets started. New York Jets: It's an often repeated saying, but general managers like having their own guys in the organization, especially at the head coach position. We don't know yet who the Jets' new general manager will be, but head coach Rex Ryan will almost certainly need a playoff birth to keep his job following 2013. The bad news, we still don't know who will be taking snaps in New York. Philadelphia Eagles: The Andy Reid era in Philly is over, but his mark will be long lasting. I'm keeping an eye on the Eagles simply to see how they progress without Reid there. The search for a new head coach is ongoing, and that man will have to live up to the standard set by Reid. That's no easy task. Detroit Lions: The current regime in Detroit is in-tact, but Jim Schwartz will be on a very short leash next season. His team had off-field issues, and they lacked discipline on the field. To cap it off, they weren't even competitive about half of the time. That's a recipe for disaster, and that's exactly what happened. I'm curious what Schwartz and GM Martin Mayhew will do to turn the team around. Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars have a new GM, David Caldwell, and they're currently looking for a new head coach. The team will likely be searching for a new face at the quarterback position as well. The Jaguars, as well as the Browns, are hitting the reset button, but Jacksonville's reset seems to be complete from the top down, including the quarterback position, making this rebuilding project an interesting case study. Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals were a terrible team in 2012, but to be fair, they also lacked a competent quarterback after Kevin Kolb went down. Ken Whisenhunt lost his job, although it could be argued that he couldn't have salvaged any more from 2012 than he did. The Cardinals' new head coach, whoever that ends up being, will have to put together an offense and find a quarterback that can play at a high level. Speaking of which, is Kurt Warner still available? [follow]
