There's bad quarterback play, and then there's the quarterback play of the Arizona Cardinals, who are in desperate need of a savior going forward.
Could that savior be Tim Tebow?
While it's unclear whether the Cardinals will have any interest in pursuing a trade for the Jets' backup quarterback/clipboard holder, speculation of such a move has unsurprisingly picked up a bit after TMZ reportedly spotted Tebow in Arizona on Monday.
The polarizing signal caller reportedly trained for two and a half hours -- running sprints and drills -- at an Arizona community college. Clearly, Tebow's mind is still very much on football in the wake of a tumultuous season in New York, where he barely saw the field despite the Jets' constant QB struggles.
The big question going into the offseason, however, is whether another team values Tebow's skill set moreso than the Jets. Many assumed Jacksonville might be interested -- as Tebow's arrival would be a homecoming that would at least sell some tickets for the Jaguars -- but new general manager David Caldwell has already stated that he can't see a scenario in which Tebow lands with the Jags. That means we must shift our attention elsewhere, and the city where Tebow is reportedly training is as quarterback-starved as they come.
The Cardinals -- who rolled out a less-than-stellar QB quartet of Kevin Kolb, John Skelton, Ryan Lindley and Brian Hoyer this season -- ranked 28th in the NFL in passing yards (3,005), 28th in completion percentage (55.4), 31st in passing touchdowns (11), 32nd in sacks allowed (58), 32nd in yards per attempt (5.6), 32nd in passer rating (63.1) and 32nd in interceptions (21).

Tim Tebow's brother Peter apologized on Monday for gloating after his brother's former team, the Broncos, lost in the playoffs.
The future appears very uncertain for Tim Tebow and his NFL career. Tebow would like another opportunity to become a starting quarterback in the league but with the Jacksonville Jaguars stating they have no interest, he’s chances appear very thin. If he were to accept a position change, would the Tampa Bay Buccaneers be interested in him?

PHOENIX -- As Australian pole vaulter Steve Hooker trained on the track at Paradise Valley Community College on Tuesday morning, a crowd began to grow beside him.
But the crowd, which grew at one point to as many as 50 people, wasn't there to see Hooker, who won a gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, or his impressive vaults. Few, if any, even knew who the world-class...
From nearly unstoppable to nearly invisible. Tim Tebow was two wins from the Super Bowl a year ago. Now, he's pretty much a player without a team - likely to be released by the New York Jets after one frustrating season and his hometown team in Jacksonville already pulling in the welcome mat.

Tim Tebow’s brother Peter lives in Denver, loves Jesus (according to his Twitter bio, at least, I don’t know him personally or anything) and has over 15,000 Twitter followers, because every Bill Clinton needs his Roger. When the Broncos went down to the Ravens on Saturday, Peter took to the Tweeter and did a little harmless gloating:That’s not too bad, right? A little misplaced...
Move over, Tim Tebow. Kaepernicking is all the craze now.
In the wake of San Francisco's 45-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Saturday night's NFC divisional playoff, 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's touchdown celebration of flexing his right arm and kissing his bicep has taken off on social media.
Several 49ers fans have posted pictures of themselves in...
Tim Tebow is sitting in quarterback purgatory right now, not sure about his future, and unsure where he’ll end up. Many pundits wonder where Tebow will end up, and some wonder if he can ever be productive.
You can now add former Giants quarterback and CBS commentator Phil Simms to the list of those who are not sure if has what it takes.
Simms told David Letterman that “it...
Things may have gone horribly for Tim Tebow during his time with the New York Jets thus far, but he is still a competitor. Tebow is only 25 years old and led the Denver Broncos to a postseason berth and a first-round playoff win last year. Make no mistake about it — he still wants to start.
After being given basically zero chance to prove himself in New York this past season, Tebow...
The Deadspin story about Manti Te’o is unbelievable and because the story is so crazy it lends itself to endless amounts of humor. Thankfully anyone with an internet connection has chimed in with their own joke and Twitter is blowing up like Tim Tebow just raw dogged some stripper in Vegas and Matt Leinart filmed it. Here’s a collection of some of the funniest tweets that I saw...
