Last week: 8 (-3) Record: 0-1 This is the last of the rankings that don’t make any sense, I promise. Before the season, I had the Titans as better than the Ravens. Are Titans better than Ravens? Probably not, but I’m not flip flopping after 1 week. I’d rather just be wrong than flip flop and turn out to be right all along. The Titans ran into the wrong team last week, while the Ravens blew out an overrated Cincinnati team. The positive for the Titans: Jake Locker looked good in his debut, completing 23 of 32 for 229 yards, 1 touchdown, and an interception despite being under pressure all game and should only get better as the season goes on and he gets Kenny Britt back (he’ll have him this week). They won’t have to play the Patriots again and against easier matchups, their defense and their running game should bounce back (I’m more confident in the former). Nothing that happened in either the Patriots/Titans or Bengals/Ravens game surprised me, so I’m not really moving these teams m...

Tennessee Titans: What To Expect From Chris Johnson

Four was the magic number for Chris Johnson yesterday. Four yards rushing, 47 yards receiving, and four points for fantasy in non-PPR leagues. Certainly those who drafted Johnson spent either a first or second round pick to get the $53 million man. So if and when can owners expect a return on their lofty investment?Short answer - sometime soon. Johnson ebbs and flows around a...

RB Ringer in, out of hospital with infected elbow

Tennessee running back Javon Ringer has an infection in his left elbow that ballooned up before the Titans' season opener with the New England Patriots. Titans coach Mike Munchak says he has been in and out of the hospital for treatment. Munchak said Monday that Ringer had some swelling in the elbow Friday, but the infection worsened Saturday night. That's when the Titans...

Britt back with Titans after injury, suspension

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Kenny Britt is on the field once again for the Tennessee Titans, back both from a torn right ACL and three different knee surgeries and a one-game suspension by the NFL. How much he helps remains to be seen. Britt tore both his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligament early in the Titans' third game last season. He had little practice time with...

Titans' Britt to see limited action in his first game Sunday

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt returned to practice Wednesday after missing the first game because of a one-game suspension, and he is expected to see only limited action in Sunday's game against San Diego. Titans coach Mike Munchak said Britt will play in the "15- to 25-snap range," according to The Tennessean. Besides the one-game suspension that resulted...

Titans reportedly ‘grumbling’ about OC Chris Palmer

Entering his second year in Tennessee, offensive coordinator Chris Palmer was tasked with starting a young, somewhat unproven quarterback, reviving a once record-setting running back, and incorporating a rookie receiver into an inconsistent passing attack. It goes without saying that Palmer has his work cut out for him, especially after the team's 34-13 blowout loss to the...

Is Gisele worried about Brady's nose?

Tom Brady got hurt in New England's season opener against the Titans, and now he has a mark on his nose. What does Gisele think?

Kenny Britt will have a limited role this Sunday

Now that Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt has served his one game suspension, he’ll  be back in action on Sunday as Titans will face off against the Chargers. The Titans don’t plan on throwing Britt right back onto the field without slowly working him in, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. Munchak said Kenny Britt will play in the 15 to 25 snap range on Sunday...

NFL Rumors: Why Titans RB Chris Johnson Will Not Run Wild Against Chargers

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson turned in quite a shoddy performance in the team’s 34-13 opening weekend loss at home against the New England Patriots. He carried the ball 11 times, but was able to gain just four yards. Johnson was downright awful, and it may not get much better in week two when the Titans travel to the west coast to take on the San Diego Chargers....

Tennessee Titans sign OG Deuce Lutui

The Tennessee Titans today reportedly signed guard Deuce Lutui to a one-year deal. Lutui worked out for the Titans last week but the Titans waited until after Week 1 to sign them, likely because they can now cut him with no further obligation to pay his salary. A second-round pick out of USC in 2006, Lutui spent the first six seasons of his career with the Arizona Cardinals,...

Titans' Locker hurts shoulder again

For the second time in this young NFL season, the Tennessee Titans are dealing with The Hurt Locker. Titans quarterback Jake Locker injured his left, non-throwing shoulder after being sacked in the first quarter of 38-14 road loss to the Houston Texans. He returned to the sideline in the second quarter in street clothes with his left arm in a sling. Locker hurt the same shoulder...
