C.J. Spiller and Chris Johnson are two of the more electric runners in the entire NFL, but one has had a lot more success than the other. The Bills may use two backs in Spiller and Fred Jackson, but the former ACC legend is posting some gaudy numbers. CJ2K has just 408 yards of total offense on the season (3.3 YPC) without a single TD whereas Spiller already has 5 TD and over 500 yards of offense. Throw in Jackson’s 200 yards of offense as well as this offense is much more balanced than a Titans squad that is relying heavily on its passing game. Matt Hasselbeck will be looking for Kendall Wright, Kenny Britt, Jared Cook and Nate Washington against a Bills defense that is still giving up a bunch of yards. The Bills have allowed 2nd most yards ...

What the Tennessee Titans victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers really means

Besides the obvious fact that they would have been 1-5 as opposed to being 2-4, the Tennessee Titans 26-23 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers could prove to be a turning point in their season. They have dealt with big injuries early on that have significantly affected their ability to win games, with Jake Locker still unlikely to play this week against the Bills, and with receiver...

Buffalo Bills re-sign Shawne Merriman, Delano Howell

Shawne Merriman has been given what might be his final chance at an NFL revival by the Buffalo Bills, who signed the defensive end Monday. Merriman had been released by the Bills this preseason after 1 1/2 ineffective seasons in Buffalo. He was playing with the third-string unit in preseason games and still barely making a mark, a far cry from the "Lights Out" days when...

Buffalo Bills Bring Back LB Shawne Merriman - With defensive end…

Buffalo Bills Bring Back LB Shawne Merriman - With defensive end Mark Anderson out indefinitely with a knee injury, the Bills are bringing back Shawne Merriman, whom they cut earlier this year. Merriman didn’t necessarily look like he had a lot left when they released him in August, and he said he was waiting for a team that played a 3-4 defense to call. So either the Bills have...

Bills bring back Shawne Merriman

According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the Buffalo Bills have re-signed linebacker/defensive end Shawne Meriman. With Mark Anderson out for a while the bringing back Merriman makes sense, since he knows their system, even though they claimed he wasn’t a good fit.

Source: Merriman returns to Bills

Free-agent linebacker Shawne Merriman has agreed to a deal to return to the Buffalo Bills, FOXSports.com has learned. The Bills brought Merriman in for a workout on Monday as they were searching for someone to take the place of defensive end Mark Anderson, who is currently out with a knee injury. Fred Jackson Getting Stronger

Buffalo running back Fred Jackson played without the knee brace last Sunday, according to Chris Brown of buffalobills.com. Jackson rushed for 53 yards and a score on 16 carries and caught five balls for 30 yards.Fantasy Spin:Jackson isn't quite back to 100 percent, but he's getting close. Report: Shawne Merriman Signs With Bills as Buffalo Desperately Tries to Shore Up Defense

The Buffalo Bills knew something had to happen after posting back-to-back weeks of some of the worst defensive performances in NFL history. Signing a retread who couldn't make the cut in training camp may not be it, but it's certainly a start. Shawne Merriman, who was cut coming out of camp despite saying he was in the best shape in years, is reportedly...

The Arizona Cardinals had an eight game winning streak in Phoenix going into Sunday’s game vs. the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals: Five Things We Learned

Statistic of the Week: 4.78

Joe has given me the opportunity to write a weekly piece here at Buffalo Wins and I’d like to thank him for that. The weekly piece will likely come every Monday morning and essentially revolve around one statistic that I feel is central to the team’s performance that week, or over the past few weeks, positive or negative. Given the bizarre (to put it nicely) nature of this...

Spiller & Jackson To Continue Timeshare in Buffalo

According to the Bills' official website, running back C.J. Spiller said he and Fred Jackson will continue to split time every two series. "It is kind of hard when you are out there for one series, you get into a flow and you come out," Spiller said. "We thought it would be best if we did two series so that is what we have done these last two games"Fantasy...
