The Tennessee Titans inevitably declined to franchise tag star cornerback Cortland Finnegan on Monday. Often labeled one of the dirtiest players in the NFL, Cortland Finnegan is also hands down one of the most preeminent players at his position and looks to collect widespread interest on the open market. “It is bittersweet,” Finnegan told Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “For six years I played in the Titans organization. I am grateful and humbled that the Titans took a chance on me and the way they matured me over the years. But I understand it is a business. My ultimate goal was to retire [with the Titans], but I can’t control that,” he added.  ”They wanted to move on, honestly. I don’t know why, and I don’t know what else a guy could do career-wise and in the community.” Photo Via TitansGab.com Finnegan accumulated 75 tackles with one sack and interception last season and has only missed three games in six seasons with the Titans.  The 5-10, 188-pound cornerback was selected in the seve

2012 NFL draft: Possible selections for the Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans we all knew disappeared in 2011 along with Jeff Fisher. The Titans remain an interesting destination for Peyton Manning, especially when payback of facing the Indianapolis Colts twice a year could be on the mind of Peyton...

Why Mario Williams could become a Tennessee Titan

Ordinarily the Tennessee Titans organization has not participated in the bidding for high profile, high dollar free agents and new General Manager Ruston Webster seems unlikely to change that corporate philosophy. Circumstances are such, though, that Titans owner Bud Adams may now enthusiastically bid for one.  While he would customarily leave personnel decisions up to his football...

The most recent rumor has Moss linked to the New Orleans Saints. The once-great receiver was scheduled to work out...
