3.8 Tennessee Titans Blidi Wreh-Wilson, CB, Connecticut (6-1, 195) The Titans must have liked Blidi Wreh-Wilson a lot to take him in the third round. They had more pressing issues but drafting Blidi will provide depth behind starters Jason McCourty and Alterraun Verner. The Titans are likely to switch to more man-to-man press coverage in 2013 and that’s exactly what Wreh-Wilson excels at. He’s a physical corner that likes to mix it up with receivers. If he can transition to the NFL game quickly, he could see action as a starter early in his career. He also has great size and can match up well against some of the larger wide outs. 2013 NFL Draft Profiles: Round 1 | Round 2 | Round 3   The post Tennessee Titans Select CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson in 2013 NFL Draft appeared first on FFLockerRoom | NFL - MLB News | Fantasy Sports Advice | Sports Talk.

Titans hit first OTAs eyeing position battles all over roster

NASHVILLE, Tenn. By the time training camp opens in late July, the roster of the Tennessee Titans will swell to 90 players. By the time camp ends a month or so later, that roster will be whittled down to 53 survivors. But with the unprecedented aggressiveness of signing more than a dozen free agents coupled with filling even more immediate needs through the recent draft, the Titans...

S Pollard part of Titans' new aggressive attitude

New Titans safety Bernard Pollard promises that Tennessee's revamped defense will be aggressive and ready to fight in what he calls ''smack you in the mouth'' football. And whatever is said in the Titans' building among coaches and players will be staying there too. The Titans have been busy this offseason trying to fix a defense that gave up a franchise...

Titans Sign RB Jalen Parmele and Waive Jamie Harper

Today, the Titans made a switch among their running backs, signing Jalen Parmele and waiving Jamie Harper. Harper was used as a short-yardage back and not much else. He was made expendable due to the signing of Shonn Greene this off-season. Parmele will give the Titans depth at RB and provide them with another receiving back. He can also help out on special teams returning kicks...

Titans focus on run game to boost offense, team

The Tennessee Titans want to get back to what they used to do best, and that's run the football. Under a mandate from the general manager and head coach, offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains has put together a playbook designed to make the most of a revamped offensive line, Chris Johnson and his new backup, Shon Greene. That should help ease the growing pains for quarterback...

The Tennessee Titans have waived running back Jamie Harper. Harper said his goodbyes on Twitter. It’s been real Tenn thanks for all the support and love — Jamie Harper (@Newbreed23) May 8, 2013 Harper was a reserve back that only ran for 30 yards on 19 carries and 3 touchdowns in 2012.   Need NFL Tickets?

More on Lavar Edwards

Next up as I look in more detail at the Titans' draft picks (yes, I intentionally skipped Blidi Wreh-Wilson for now and am coming back to him) is fifth-round defensive end Lavar Edwards from LSU. My initial reaction when the Titans selected Edwards in the fifth round, my initial reaction was he was a good fit for the tweener player Jerry Gray seems to like and didn't...

Titans waive third year RB Jamie Harper

The Tennessee Titans have waived their 2011 4th round pick Jamie Harper. Harper had 36 carries for 74 yards (2.1 avg.) and 4 scores during his two seasons backing up Chris Johnson. He is 23 years old from Clemson - 5'11" 233lb. I'd expect Harper to draw interest from teams looking for depth at the running back position. On March 13th, Shonn Greene signed a three-year...

More on Brian Schwenke

Next up on my series of somewhat more in depth profiles of the 2013 Titans draft class is their fourth round pick, Cal center Brian Schwenke. I think I've said this before, but at center there are two big distinctions. First, a center's job is to snap to ball and, for most teams, to make the line calls. Do the coaches have confidence in his ability to do these two things...

If you have any knowledge of the 90′s Cowboys you should be aware that athletes have “side house” for their groupies, jumpoffs and mistresses. It is a place they can have their affairs and not worried about being hassle by their wives or girlfriends. Normally, a group of players rent out a place under...

Titans Sign RB Jalen Parmele, Release RB Jamie Harper

John Glennon reports that the Titans have signed former Jaguars RB Jalen Parmele and parted with RB Jamie Harper. According to Glennon, the team sees Parmele as a more versatile player than Harper, who can also contribute in the passing game and on special teams for them. Last year, Parmele received just 8 carries and rushed for 45 yards. Harper had a base salary of ...

Report: Titans Discussing Signing John Abraham

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted Monday that the Tennessee Titans are entertaining the thought of signing former Falcons defensive end John Abraham. Abraham was a cap causality of the NFC South champion Falcons last year. At the age of 35, his professional career may be nearing the end very soon. This likely could be his last stop in the National Football League. The former first...
