FF Locker Room:
2.2 Tennessee Titans Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee (6-4, 196)
With the second pick in round two, the Titans selected, local boy, Justin Hunter. Hunter came into the draft with one of the best combinations of size and skill. He has the size to win jump balls and the speed to get past corners playing up on him.
With the Titans never knowing what they will get out of super talent Kenny Britt, it’s time to draft someone to take his place. If Hunter can add a few pounds of muscle, look out. He reminds me of AJ Green and can jump up high to nab balls out of the air. With second-year receiver Kendall Wright and Nate Washington also on the roster, Hunter may be buried on the depth chart to start the year, but Britt will more than likely get in trouble or injure himself. Hunter should get his chance at some point.

Now that we're after the draft, it's time to say some more things about the players the Titans drafted. I covered Chance Warmack on Friday, so next up is the Titans' second-round pick, wide receiver Justin Hunter.
Andrew covered some of this when he wrote up the Hunter pick, but the former Vol standout could be anywhere from a great player to Yet Another Titans Second...
MOUNT JULIET, Tenn. The line of fans seeking face time with Jake Locker snaked through the aisles of the huge sporting goods store here on the outskirts of Nashville.

The Tennessee Titans have waived veteran WR Lavelle Hawkins. Hawkins spent the past 5 seasons with the Titans after getting drafted out of California in the fourth round, but has never been much of a factor in the passing game. And with the Titans drafting younger, more talented receivers in recent years, Hawkins was made expendable.
He had one decent season during the 2010 campaign...
Jim Wyatt reports that the Titans have informed WR Lavelle Hawkins on Wednesday that he is being released.
Hawkins, 26, was set to make $1.9 million this season, but with the addition of Kevin Walter during free agency and the fact that they traded up for Justin Hunter, it seemed inevitable that a receiver would be released at some point. Hawkins finished the 2012 season with...
The Tennessee Titans have waived wide receiver Michael Calvin and Safety Suaesi Tuimaunei. Both were signed to reserve/future contracts during the offseason and will be looking for new teams immediately.

After signing 15 undrafted free agents despite only having 12 roster spots after selecting eight players in the draft, the Titans needed to clear some roster space. And they did, releasing wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins and waiving wide receiver Michael Calvin and safety Suaesi Tuimaunei.
Obviously Hawkins is the biggest name of that trio. The Cal product was a fourth round pick...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, free agent offensive tackle Eric Winston visited with the Tennessee Titans.
Former Chiefs and Texans OT Eric Winston also visited the Titans today.

Teams have shown plenty of interest in Winston this offseason after being released by the Chiefs, but he’s clearly taking his time in signing with...
Pro Football Talk reports that free agent defensive end Israel Idonije visited the Tennessee Titans Monday.
The Titans currently have Derrick Morgan and Kamerion Wimbley listed as the starting defensive ends. It is unclear whether Idonije would replace either or simply provide depth chart help.
There is a possibility Idonije is visiting other teams to increase his value to the Bears...

This pick made me think that Kenny Britt can not be trusted by the Titans to stay healthy or stay out of trouble. Justin Hunter has good size at 6’4, good route running ability, and speed 4.49 40, but he has some red flags to be aware of as he enters his rookie season. Hunter has a real issue holding onto the ball in college and will have to really work...
Chicago Bears free agent defensive lineman Israel Idonije
visited the Tennessee Titans yesterday, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Titans
hosted veteran defensive lineman Israel Idonije on Monday.
Idonije was a defensive end for the Bears for the past several
seasons. He recorded 7.5 sacks last season, and his career...
Now that the 2013 NFL Draft has come and gone, there are a lot of players who missed the opportunity to hear their names called. For the Tennessee Titans, they are still trying to find players to fill the holes they have on the roster. Here is a list of the 2013 undrafted free agents of the Tennessee Titans.Jack Doyle, Western Kentucky, TE - 6'5" 255 pounds Tom Wort...
Jim Wyatt reports that the Titans have scheduled a visit with free agent DE John Abraham for this Friday.
Abraham, 34, has found very little interest since being released by the Falcons a few months ago. He met with the Patriots a few weeks into free agency and also found some interest from teams like the Dolphins and Broncos, but both of them have since added a defensive end...
