Terrell Owens is back in the NFL - at least for now.

Owens agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, multiple media outlets reported Monday.

The 38-yrear-old Owens has not played in the NFL since 2010, when he caught 72 passes for 983 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games for the Cincinnati Bengals. Owens suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament the following April, and he has been trying to latch on with an NFL team ever since.

He even played briefly with the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League, a relationship that ended badly when he was dismissed from the team.

But he earned a tryout with the Seahawks on Monday and impressed the team with a workout tht reportedly included running the 40 in 4.45 seconds.

There is no guarantee that Owens will make the Seahawks' regular-season roster, but the team is starved for threats on the outside. Seattle waived wide receiver Antonio Bryant on Sunday and signed veteran wide receiver Braylon Edwards last week.

A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Owens ranks second alltime in career receiving yardage (15.934) and sixth in receptions (1,078), and he is tied with Randy Moss for second in career touchdown catches (153). Jerry Rice leads all three categories.
