Bengals-receiver-terrell

Three weeks after GM Drew Pearson announced that the Allen Wranglers were close to signing Terrell Owens, the receiver made the announcement official.

“I’m headed back to Texas. IFL, here I come. Allen, Texas, here I come,” he said in a video linked on his Twitter account. “Allen, Texas … I’ll see you in the end zone.”

T.O.’s tweet linking to the video aptly said “Getcha popcorn ready.”

At last check, Owens’ deal would make him an owner/player, so we figure that is still the case. T.O. didn’t add any details about the deal, but he’s joining the team five weeks before their February 25th season opener.

From trying out for NFL teams to playing in the IFL, T.O. certainly has fallen out of the loop. At least for his sake, it looks like he’ll be paid well.
