Pro Football Zone:
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll indicated that wide receiver Terrell Owens will make his debut this Saturday against the Broncos.
“I’m not going to tell you how many plays it will be,”Carroll said, via the Seattle Times. “We’ll see how it goes, but he’s going to play pretty early in the game.”
Carroll believes Owens is ready to get on the field and show everyone what he’s got left.
“He’s ready to go,” Carroll said of Owens. “He had two good weeks of work, and he came in in great shape so he’s ready to go.”
I’m looking forward to seeing how Owens looks on the field at the age of 38.
BEST OF MAXIM
Veteran wide receiver Terrell Owens failed to make a reception in his debut with Seattle, and dropped what should have been a 46-yard TD pass from Matt Flynn.
Owens was open on a deep post pattern on a play-action fake, but failed to secure a perfectly thrown ball that went right through his hands.
The Seahawks lead the Broncos 16-10 with 4:57 left in the third quarter. Neither team...
Terrell Owens says he is ''no longer'' a member of the Seattle Seahawks.
The 38-year-old wide receiver posted the news on his Twitter account.
''I'm no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I'm truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver.''
Owens signed a one-year deal with Seattle earlier...
Just announced by the Seattle Seahawks. We've learned that Terrell Owens will indeed play for the Seahawks on Saturday night versus Peyton Manning and the Broncos.
It will be good to see TO catching balls from starter Matt Flynn in a real game situation.
It will also be nice to see the young up and coming Seahawks defense get tested by Manning.
Here's the Matchup and Preview...
The Seattle Seahawks signed diva wide receiver Terrell Owens to a one-year deal recently.
With T.O. on the team, the Seahawks have made one of three necessary moves for success in 2012. Now Seattle needs to simply reach out to freshly-available Chad Johnson and throw a feeler out to free agent Plaxico Burress to establish itself as the frontrunner for the 2013 edition of Hard Knocks...
The Seattle Seahawks decided this past offseason that they had a wide receiving corps that was not exactly up to the standards of the rest of the National Football League. Not even if the watered down NFC West. Seattle went forward and cut Mike Williams, who had been one of their better receivers a couple of seasons ago. That left them with Ben Obomanu and Deon Butler atop the team’s...
Terrell Owens will make his debut for the Seattle Seahawks on
Saturday night when they travel to Denver for a preseason game
against the Broncos.
Updates. With AP Photos. Pete Carroll continues to be very guarded about his grand plan concerning the three-way battle for the starting quarterback position.
Carroll has been reluctant throughout the first three weeks of training camp to divulge information regarding his quarterbacks. Whether it's which quarterback will take first-team reps on a given day or a timetable for...
Judging from this practice alone, Matt Flynn is the clear-cut favorite to start in week 1 of the regular season. Flynn, as advertised, showed crispness in his mechanics and his accuracy was top-notch, (only 3 incompletions during the entire practice). He often checked down short passes rather than airing it out deep, but did flash his arm on several occasions as...
The 49ers look to be a team on the verge of greatness with hard-nosed Jim Harbaugh as head coach, and Pete Carroll seems to be slowly building a team that can threaten for the playoffs in Seattle. Both teams are built around tough opportunistic defenses with a strong running game. In St Louis , first year coach Jeff Fisher will also rely heavily on the ground game to keep Sam Bradford...
Mike Garrett's next stop after being forced out at Southern California might as well be an entirely different world.
Instead of sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic on his way to work leading the Hollywood of college athletic programs, his commute now includes a twisting drive past cow pastures and grazing areas for his new school's research on goats.
The Heisman Trophy...
Early Wednesday morning it was reported by Pete Carroll that Seattle quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was unhappy with his status on the team.
Not that he is unhappy with the shuffling at quarterback, rather that the Seahawks are trying to shop him around. I heard about the news and shook it off.
Then a few hours later I saw a tweet from @bleedinggreennation with a link that took me...
