Mike Freeman of CBS Sports wrote Friday morning that free agent Terrell Owens, potential Hall of Fame wide receiver who hasn’t been in an NFL regular season game since 2010, plans to retire if he’s not signed to a club this year. “If I play this year, that’d be awesome,” Owens said in an interview with “If I don’t play this year, I’m retiring.” Owens last played a regular season game as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010 when he and Chad Johnson tag teamed to make a prolific wide receiver tandem, helping to propel Cincinnati to a dismal 4-12 record. Prior to his one-year stint in Cincy, Owens spent a single season with the Buffalo Bills, where things also ended ugly. He also spent three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles and eight seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. The last time someone decided to roll the dice on Owens, the Seattle Seahawks released him just prior to the 2012 season. “I’m not chasing a dream,” Owens adde
