Before the playoffs began  Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis decided to announce that he was going to call it quits after the season, regardless of the outcome. A move that many at the time, felt would be a rallying point for the team as they prepared for a Super Bowl run. While many grew tired of the attention that Lewis was getting, it appears the team drew inspiration from their leader ready to retire. So much so that if you ask linebacker Terrell Suggs, it became the reason the team was able to make their magical run. Per Pro Football Talk: “You could say what sparked it was Ray’s announcement when he said that this would be his last playoff run with us,” Suggs said. “I would definitely say that was hands-down what sparked it and got our minds going in the right place.” While many may downplay the significance, I feel the announcement was key to the Ravens run. We may never know otherwise, but I don’t believe their Super Bowl would have happened without the announcement from Ray Lewis.

Ravens want to erect Lewis statue

Ray Lewis still may be a controversial figure in some corners of the country, but one of those corners is not Baltimore. In his final season, the last of the original Ravens just led his team to a Super Bowl victory, and about the only argument over him among Baltimore fans is whether he was a better leader or a better linebacker. And to Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, that is a legacy...

SNL parodies CBS time-filling during Super Bowl blackout (Video)

SNL wasted no time "tackling" the Super Bowl XLVII blackout in Saturday night's opening sketch with a parody of how the CBS NFL crew tried to kill time during the blackout. With Dan Marino and Bill Cowher running out of things to say, and Steve Tasker having no information to give, James Brown (played by Kenan Thompson) resorted to reciting interesting anagrams of...

Could the Ravens cut Terrell Suggs?

According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, some people within league circles are wondering if the Baltimore Ravens will end up releasing linebacker Terrell Suggs. Doing so with a post-June 1 designation would create $6.4 million in cap space, as of June 1.  If the Ravens cut him before June 1, his $6.4 million base salary would be offset by a $4.6 million bonus acceleration...

The First Sunday Without NFL Football: Now What Do We Do?

If you are like me, during the NFL regular season all the way through the conclusion of the Super Bowl, you are consumed by football 24/7. That all came to a screeching halt late last Sunday night as we watched Ray Lewis walk out into the middle of the field and ascend into heaven, after his Baltimore Ravens held off a very competitive San Fransisco 49ers team 34-31, to win Super...

Following Baltimore’s 34-31 upset victory over the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, Ravens superstar linebacker Terrell Suggs praised upstart San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick and called the youngster “the truth.” The 25-year-old Kaepernick, who the 49ers chose out of the … Continue reading →

Daddy Juice — KSK Kontent Klearinghouse

A couple outlets reported that O.J. Simpson held a Super Bowl party inside his jail cell. Must have been bittersweet seeing Ray Lewis go out like that. But the National Enquirer has much more salacious O.J. nuggets, specifically that The Juice caught the gay! Sure, because it’s the National Enquirer, it’s probably total bullsh*t, but let’s all point and laugh anyway: After...
