AP Photo According to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger,  New York Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas told him that he could be out for up to eight weeks as he gets back to rehabbing his knee after aggravating his surgically repaired ACL. “Thomas can do just that with a successful rehab of an injury described the other day by a source as a “stretched” or “aggravated” ACL. Those are the exact two words Thomas used today to describe the issue, and he said the lower-back tightness he experienced on the first day of camp, and tried to practice through, might have caused him to injure his knee. “The source also said the best case scenario is for Thomas to return to practice in three to five weeks. Thomas gave the same loose estimate on the low end but admitted it could take as long as eight weeks to get back to practice,” wrote Garafolo. With Thomas’ latest scare, I would think the Giants will make sure he takes his time with his rehab to make sure his knee is ready to go.

Terrell Thomas Could Return in 3-5 Weeks

When news broke on Monday that New York Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas was not scheduled for surgery and would instead rehab his knee injury, there was no initial timetable offered that would indicate a target date for his return. However, a source with knowledge of the situation later informed Mike Garafolo of The Star-Ledger that Thomas could return to the field in as little...

New York Giants’ Terrell Thomas Says He Could Return from “Aggravated” ACL in 3-8 Weeks

In what head coach Tom Coughlin called a best case scenario, New York Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas was back in Albany on Wednesday with what has amounted to an “aggravated” ACL. In other words, the veteran did not tear said ACL for the third time, and could return to the field in as little as three weeks. “It’s something that it could be three weeks, it could be eight...

Giants Hoping For Thomas To Contribute

Giant’s cornerback...

New York Giants: Rookies to Watch For

As the GM for the NY Giants, Jerry Reese has received praise for his ability to draft the next NFL stars. Eli Manning: What Do The Numbers Say

By: Michael Samuels II Eli Manning, winner of two of super bowls in the last five years. Two super bowl MVP’s and his last name is Manning. Crazy how quick times change, last year Eli Manning’s name would have never came up in a discussion of elite QBs in the game. One “decent” year and a team that came together at the right time can change that apparently. When I look at...

Will Beatty's Back Could Force Giants To Move David Diehl To Left Tackle

Following practice on Wednesday, Giants coach Tom Coughlin did not discount the possibility of David Diehl moving back to left tackle if Will Beatty’s ailing back keeps him off the field for much longer. “There’s all kind of thoughts,’’ Coughlin said of that scenario. “If Beatty comes back next week … the idea is to get the best five out there.’’ At present, Beatty is sidelined...

Giants DE Justin Tuck rebuttals Clay Matthews remarks says he is living in “Fantasy Land”

Each regular season has what Players View calls the “invincible losers.”  This group powers their way through the regular season kicking sand in the face of lesser opponents only to watch somebody else win the Super Bowl. The Patriots, the Colts and last year the Packers are all recent examples of groups that analysts crown as unstoppable only to be stopped. So as the defensive...

Justin Tuck responds to Clay Matthew's whining about playoff loss

The Green Bay Packers are really bitter about their 37-20 playoff loss to the New York Giants— which knocked the top-seeded team out of last season's anticipated Super Bowl run— and Clay Matthews still won't give credit to Big Blue for winning the game. The Pack's Matthews went on the record and told Yahoo! Sports that "We picked the most inopportune time to...
