Terrelle Pryor said in Peter King’s Monday Morning QB segment that he feels he owes Al Davis for the opportunity that he was given. “I owe Mr. Davis,’’ Pryor told King. “This man believed I’d be a star quarterback. He said that to me multiple times. He took a chance on me when other teams wouldn’t. And I think he was smiling down a little bit today, watching this. This may sound crazy, but every day I’m thankful for what he did for me.” – Peter King’s MMQB via I would have to agree with those sentiments. Pryor wouldn’t have received the same chance in many organization and I believe that Al Davis’s encouraging words have motivated Pryor. Pryor still has a long way to go before he is a star QB but he certainly has all of the potential. Need NFL Tickets? Loading... Al Davis haunts Raiders with Terrelle Pryor

It was a wasted supplemental draft pick, one of crazy Al Davis’ last hurrah’s. Right? Instead, it seems the third-round pick used to select former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor will live on forever and may haunt the Oakland Raiders, but in a good way. Terrelle Pryor and the Raiders were supposed to be the laughing stock of the NFL. Nothing more than a joke – predicted...

10 Lessons We Learned From NFL Week 1

Week 1 of the highly-anticipated 2013 NFL regular season is in the books.  As expected, we witnessed just about everything but the kitchen sink—from hard-nosed defensive snoozefests like the Seattle Seahawks’ 12-7 road win over the Carolina Panthers to exciting thrillers that left fans on edge of their seats like the San Francisco 49ers‘ 34-28 victory over the Green Bay Packers...

A total of Nine black quarterbacks will start week 1

We all know the game is changing. It is becoming a position of speed and agilty rather than just a gun slinger mentality at the quarterback position. Well this week in the NFL a total of 9 black quarterbacks will start. Here is a list: EJ Manuel – Bills Colin Kaepernick – Niners Russell Wilson […]

Terrelle Pryor: I played ‘awful’ in Week 1

Terrelle Pryor played much better than most people anticipated coming into week 1 against the Colts. He had 217 yards passing with one TD and 2 INTs but added 112 yards rushing which is the most in the NFL over the weekend. For him though, that wasn’t good enough: “I could’ve helped win the game and didn’t,” Pryor said via “We had ‘em on the ropes and...

Why is the bar so low for Terrelle Pryor?

Everyone doubts Terrelle Pryor can help the Raiders this season, and I think a lot of people have happily gone along with this assessment, because haha, the Raiders, amirite? Pryor won the starting job from Matt Flynn this preseason, but around the league, he hasn’t received many plaudits and hasn’t mustered much confidence. But why? What’s the reason nobody thinks Pryor is...

Pryor ready to make first home start for Raiders

(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By ANTONIO GONZALEZ AP Sports Writer Even as a backup, Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor would write notes to wide receivers and leave them in their lockers after seeing something on video he thought might help. The former Ohio State standout studied the NFL's best quarterbacks and learned something from each of them...

Pryor wants to repay Al Davis

Terrelle Pryor may have finally arrived. Yes Pryor still struggles to read defenses, and makes most of his plays with his legs, but Pryor is a long way from the guy he was when he was banished by Ohio State, and selected in the supplemental draft. Pryor has come a long way and has Al Davis to thank.  According to Peter King and TheMMQB, Pryor says “he owes Davis, and wants to...

The good and bad from the Colts Week 1 win

Everybody knew we were going to beat the Raiders. Right? It was looking good in the first half, but something happened in the second half and Terrelle Pryor was on the loose way too much. I’m glad the Colts came away with a win, but it wasn’t as one-sided as this drunk Colts fan would’ve liked. The Good Dwayne Allen was a grown damn man when he scored the touchdown up the...

Jam it or Cram it: Last Man in Oakland With No Pryors

It was an exciting opening week for the NFL and we fantasy baller’s are either twerking in celebration or connecting the garden hose to the Tauraus’ tailpipe. It’s probably a little early in the season to do either. Besides, this could happen when the twerk goes wrong. There were plenty of surprises opening Sunday. There were three safties in the first 20 minutes, Jacksonville...

The Chiefs Win Over The Jags Wasn't Impressive

One thing stood out in the Raiders loss to the Colts, quarterback Terrelle Pryor proved the late Al Davis was correct in pick him as a potential franchise quarterback in 2011.  Pryor rushed for 112 yards, the most ever by a Raiders quarterback, and passed for 217 yards, becoming the seventh quarterback to throw for at least 200 yards and run for at least 100 in a regular-season...

2013 fantasy football start em’ sit em’ week 2

So here we are ready for NFL Week 2 and I am sure some of you are already in a panic over some of the performances of high draft picks. Well, all I can say is it's a long season and 1 week can't be written as bible.

Dreaming of Streaming: Week 2

Let’s start with this: six of Week’1 top 10 fantasy defenses were owned in less than 20 percent of Yahoo! Leagues. Let that wash over you. And while you’re at it, throw that inconvenient fact in the faces of anyone who insists their seventh round selection of the Seattle Seahawks defense was the correct one. Team Ownership % Week 1 points Rank Kansas City Chiefs 6 31 1...

Under Center: Top 5 Fantasy Quarterbacks for Week 2

Terrelle Pryor, the NFL’s leading rusher. (Ben Margot, Associated Press) Week 1 of the fantasy football season is now in the books, and we saw a couple of surprises throughout the week. Peyton Manning kicked the NFL season into high gear with an insane 462 yards passing and 7 touchdowns, ending the week as the highest scorer with 46 standard scoring points. The only other entrants...
