An MRI on Broncos defensive lineman Elvis Dumervil's left shoulder Monday showed no tear.
Dumervil had two tackles and a forced fumble when he left Sunday's 36-14 win over in the second quarter.
Coach John Fox said Monday that the injury was a muscle strain and the Broncos would know more when they return to practice Wednesday.
The seventh-year veteran missed all of 2010 with a torn pectoral muscle, then came back last season and made the Pro Bowl with 9 1/2 sacks.
Dumervil, who led the league with 17 sacks in 2009, has six this season.

On Monday, Broncos Coach John Fox made two positive announcements when meeting with the media at Dove Valley.

The Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller is an exciting player to watch. He has a consistent motor and makes big plays for his team. Earlier after sacking quarterback Cam Newton he mocked Newton’s superman touchdown celebration, and then he added this dance after Newton was safetied. You gotta love his enthusiasm.
Denver Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway told USA TODAY Sports that when they signed Peyton Manning they felt like it was a risk worth taking despite all the neck procedures he underwent.
“The risk was no one really knew about Peyton. There were so many unanswered questions. We went through the process, got all the information we can, talked to...
After today’s win over the Panthers, Denver Broncos tight end Jacob Tamme tweeted a photo of a Dominos pizza box.
In his tweet Tamme referred to quarerback Peyton Manning not being in charge of ordering the pizza since he owns 21 Papa Johns franchises and is a part of a marketing campaign with them.
Apparently our QB was not in charge of the post game snack. twitter.com/JacobTamme...
Broncos Von Miller made a promise last week that when he sacked Panthers QB Cam Newton he would do Cam’s Superman move in celebration. Somewhere along the way Von abandoned those plans- possibly because he wasn’t credited with the safety- and instead busted out this little move in celebration. I wonder if he had [...]

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Denver Broncos coach John Fox had the right idea when he wanted to deflect attention upon returning to Bank of America Stadium to face his former employer. He brought along Peyton Manning and a stifling defense. In another efficient performance, Manning and the Broncos overwhelmed the Carolina Panthers in a 36-14 outcome Sunday afternoon. Fox, who was coach...
Tweet Last week Von Miller said he hoped to get a chance to do Cam Newton’s “Superman” celebration when his Broncos met the the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. The Denver defense never gave Newton a chance to complete passes and sacked the Panthers quarterback six times including once for a safety. It was not until late in the fourth quarter that Newton topped 200 yards passing.
Newton and Carolina scored first in the contest with a four yard pass to tight end Greg Olsen. With 1:39 left in the first quarter Manning found a familiar target...
