The Houston Texans have the Patriots right where they want them. Well, not really. They were on their way to a first round bye when they **** the bed and played their way out of the bye.Houston probably regret hyping up the week 14 matchup against the Patriots. They wore letterman jackets on the way to Gillette Stadium. The game didn't start out great for the Texans going down 14-0 in the first quarter. That essentially took the biggest element of the Houston offense Arian Foster out of the game. Before going to Foxborough, the Texans were actually intimidating to the league, but the Patriots exposed their weak defense and their less than stellar offense. They claimed it was the biggest game in their franchise history, even though last year in the playoffs, they won their first playoff game ever. This time around the Texans expectations from the public eye are lower, which in turn, is a good thing because they don't have to live up to those expectations. They can focus on pla...

Arian Foster changes Twitter avatar to Dan Shaughnessy quote (Picture)

Houston dispatches the Bengals 19-13, now they will try and exercise the demons against the Patriots

The Houston Texans, who struggled the last month of the season, beat the Cincinnati Bengals tonight 19-13 behind their All-Pros running back Arian Foster and defensive end J.J. Watt. The Texans, who eliminated the Bengals last season as well, were paced by four field goals by Shayne Graham of 48, 27, 22 and 24 yards and a 1 yard touchdown run by Foster, who finished with 140 yards...

Arian Foster using Dan Shaughnessy’s Texans-bashing column as motivation

Arian Foster is using the disparaging words of a sports writer to motivate him for Sunday’s playoff game at New England. NFL Playoffs: Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans Preview and Prediction

This year’s NFL playoffs begin the same way they did last season, with the Bengals heading to Houston to take on the Texans. Both teams are the same seed that they were last year … which is not something the Texans are proud of. They come in as the third seed after going into Week 17 as the top seed in the AFC. The Bengals are the six seed, but must not be taken lightly in this...

Belichick on Houston: It will be totally different

The Houston Texans earned a return trip to Foxboro following their win over Cincinnati Saturday night. New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had his conference call today, and he surprisingly was forthcoming with information. That's not to say The Hoodie explained the game plan in detail, but he did give a little more than expected for a Sunday before the Divisional...

Bengals lose to Texans 19-13, extend futility

Couldn't stop Arian Foster. Couldn't make that one big play when it was right at their fingertips. And, in an ending so sickeningly familiar, the Bengals couldn't break one of the NFL's longest streaks of playoff futility. Plenty of blame to go around for this one. Andy Dalton overthrew an open A.J. Green in the end zone in the closing minutes, and the Houston Texans...

Wild Card weekend: Saturday games

We wait and wait and wait after the Super Bowl ends each season for the start of a new one, and once the NFL kickoffs, it seems like it ends too quickly. The playoffs are here, and we start off with a rematch of last year’s Wild Card round with the Cincinnati Bengals and the Houston Texans.  Of course, Matt Schaub is with the Texans for this playoff run, and not TJ Yates. So...
