State of the Texans:
The Houston Texans have signed their own restricted free agent in offensive tackle, Andrew Gardner. Gardner (6-6, 309 lbs.) is in his 4th NFL season out of Georgia Tech who was drafted in 2009 in the 6th round, and joined the Texans during the 2011 season after he was waived from the Bengals.
Gardner has appeared in four games in two seasons for the Texans and figures to be in the mix as a swing tackle for the upcoming season. With signing Gardner the Texans now have Duane Brown, Derek Newton and Gardner as the only offensive tackles on the roster.
