60 Max Power O:
It wasn't pretty. Bad weather and a hostile Chicago crowd is usually a bad sign, but the Houston Texans put together a gritty defensive perfromance to get the win vs. the Chicago Bears 13-6.
Early in the game, we saw yet another QB leave the game with a concussion. Bears QB Jay Cutler joined the 49ers' Alex Smith and the Eagles' Michael Vick to leave the game after taking big hits.
The weather played a huge factor in this one, as both teams had a combined 464 yards of total offense.
The Texans benefited from four Bears turnovers. Danieal Manning forced a fumble after crushing TE Kellen Davis in the first quarter, and also had an interception. He nearly had another pick later in the game.
The Texans' J.J. Watt on the game:
''I think we showed them we can win any game, any situation, any time, any place, tough weather conditions, tough place on the road, a very good football team,'' he said. ''We won, so say what you want.''

In what could end up being a Super Bowl preview, the Houston Texans will travel to Chicago and face the Bears on Sunday night at Soldier Field. Both teams are 7-1 and can boast to have 1 of the leagues most talented defenses, as well as having 2 complete offenses with the ability to throw and run the ball with the best in the game. With the game being played in the nasty conditions...
Talk about a heavyweight bout, the Houston Texans went into Soldier Field and came out with a huge 13-6 win against the Chicago Bears. In a rainy setting on a sloppy field, the Texans were able to put together enough offense, play stout defense and put together enough special teams coverage to come out with a huge win.

HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston Texans defensive line coach Bill Kollar did not travel home from Chicago with the team because of a possible blood clot.
Kollar missed Sunday night's game against the Bears because of the issue. He was experiencing shortness of breath before the game and a team trainer sent him to the hospital for tests. He wasn't allowed to return to the field.
(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated.) By KRISTIE RIEKEN AP Sports Writer It wasn't pretty, but the Houston Texans found a way to beat the Bears and escape Chicago tied for the best record in the NFL.
Now the Texans (8-1) are preparing for one of the NFL's worst teams in Jacksonville, focused on improving as they inch closer to their goal of reaching the Super Bowl.
Houston forced three turnovers in the first quarter and Shayne Graham kicked a 20-yard field goal to give the Texans a 3-0 lead over the Chicago Bears through one period at a rainy Soldier Field on Sunday night.
After the Texans went three and out on the opening possession, they got the ball back after former Bears defensive back Danieal Manning jarred the ball loose from tight...
The Texans’ second Sunday night appearance of the season earned good enough numbers for NBC. The Week 9 edition of “Sunday Night Football,” pitting the 7-1 Texans against the 7-1 Bears, earned a 13.7 overnight rating on NBC — down 6% from Patriots/Jets last year (14.5), and down 4% from Patriots/Steelers in 2010 (14.2). The 13.7 overnight is the lowest for “SNF” in Week...
Chicago had one of its worst overall performances in a 13-6 home loss on Sunday night to the Houston Texans, a game in which the offense turned the ball over four times.
The fantasy season is nearing its postseason. The weeks are winding down; the injuries are piling up. You need to stay ahead of everything in order...
There weren't many style points in this one. J.J. Watt wasn't interested in them, anyway. All that mattered was the result, and the Houston Texans will take that along with everything else they took from this game.
CHICAGO -- The Houston Texans not only beat the Chicago Bears at their own game Sunday night, but they did it with a lead performance -- both on and off the field -- from a former member of the Bears. Cornerback Danieal Manning, who switched teams before the 2011 season, fired up the Texans in a pregame speech and then forced two first-quarter turnovers in a 13-6 victory that left...
Bears star cornerback Charles Tillman is active for Sunday's game against Houston, while Texans tight end Owen Daniels is out because of a back injury.
There was some question about Tillman's status after he told a Chicago radio station he might not be available because his wife, Jackie, is due to give birth to a girl - the couple's fourth child. He later posted on Twitter...
CHICAGO -- The Houston Texans got a diving catch by Arian Foster in the second quarter for the game's only touchdown, and they held on to beat the Chicago Bears 13-6 Sunday night in a steady rain. The Texans (8-1) took four first-half takeaways from the Bears and knocked Chicago quarterback Jay Cutler out of the game with a concussion -- albeit on a hit that was penalized....
This week Jeremy Stoltz of BearReport.com joined me to answer some questions about the Bears vs. Texans game. Six questions, six answers answering keys to a Bears victory over the 7-1 Houston Texans. Jeremy cohosts Bear Report Radio which usually appears on Friday mornings on both sites.

Something has to give Sunday night at Soldier Field when the 7-1 Chicago Bears play host to the 7-1 Houston Texans.
