Houston Texans wide receiver DeVier Posey will open the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Posey tore his left Achilles during a contest against the New England Patriots in January. Texans WR DeVier Posey, who tore his left Achilles vs New England in January, will open this season on the PUP list, per league source. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 26, 2013 If Posey starts the regular season on the PUP list, it means he'll be unavailable for the Texans for at least the first six weeks of the year. The Texans selected Posey in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was a disappointment last season prior to his injury, as he only registered six catches for the team. Given the status of Posey and his lack of production last year, it wasn't surprising to see Houston select former Clemson wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins with the No. 27 pick last night.
