State of the Texans:
With the 198th Pick
The Houston Texans have selected defensive lineman Chris Jones from Bowling Green University. A stout interior defender, Jones has some pass rushing ability that could help the defense. Jones will probably be a nose tackle for the Texans moving forward and compete for a spot on the roster.
Considered on of the most productive defensive lineman in the country, Jones motor is what will give him a shot to make the Texans roster.
Pick Analysis: Hard to say whether Jones will make an impact on the team at this moment, but trusting what the Texans front office is doing with drafting Jones should be all fans need to know. Jones’ biggest attribute has to be his pass rushing ability from the inside, one thing the Texans have lacked since Wade Phillips came to run the defense.

Several quarterbacks saw their stock plummet down the draft board in the 2013 NFL Draft. Several prospects went undrafted, but weren’t without work for very long. Kansas State quarterback Colin Klien told reporters that his phone started ringing shortly after the draft ended and after discussing matters with his family and agent, he decided on the Houston Texans.
With the 195th Pick

The Houston Texans selected Clemson Wide Receiver DeAndre Hopkins with the 27th overall pick in the NFL draft!
It’s just the 2nd time Houston has drafted a receiver in the 1st-round and just the 1st time since Andre Johnson was selected 3rd overall back in 2003. Hopkins is expected to take over the No.2 receiver spot across from Johnson which could prove very profitable as Texans...
During his own Charity Softball Game, JJ Watt tossed his bat and charged the mound after a pitch went over his head and a fake brawl ensued. Obviously it was all in good fun as the game was between the Houston Texans offense and defense.
Watt’s Charity Classic Softball Game raised over $300,000 for the JJ Watt Foundation, a very impressive feat.
If you can remember all the way back to when Friday Night Lights was a movie about a non-fiction book about a high school football team in west Texas, then maybe you can empathize with J.J. Watt on this.
He really didn't like the quarterback from Dallas Carter.

The Houston Texans have selected defensive end/ outside linebacker Trevardo Williams from the University of Connecticut. Williams is the essence of what a pass rusher is and looks to bolster a questionable 2012 pass rushing team. Williams is an explosive player with natural pass rushing ability.
