Texans expect two starters to play against Ravens
Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans are heading into one of their biggest games in recent memory, so any help is appreciated when it comes to taking on the Baltimore Ravens in M&T Bank Stadium.

That's why the latest news surrounding starting right tackle, George Fant, and fullback Andrew Beck, is so big: Both players are expected to play on Saturday after being listed as questionable on Thursday's final injury report, per KPRC2's Aaron Wilson.

Those are two big boosts for the Texans offense. Fant has played good football as the bookend to star left tackle, Laremy Tunsil, and Beck is good in pass pro. The latter also has the ability to make some plays in the pass game, every now and then, as evidenced by his two receiving touchdowns on the year.

Fant popped up on the final day with an illness and Beck didn't participate in the first two practices/walkthroughs before logging a limited session on Thursday. He has been dealing with a back issue that cropped up against the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the playoffs.

Overall the Texans are very healthy heading into this matchup. The only other player with an unclear status was pass rusher, Jerry Hughes, and he was ruled out on Thursday. The remaining 12 players on the final injury report did not have tags or designations on the final report.

The Ravens have a few players with unknown statuses, themselves. Mainly in the form of star tight end, Mark Andrews. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said earlier in the week that wide receiver, Devin Duvernay, is expected to play despite being listed as questionable on the final injury report. Starting cornerback, Marlon Humphrey, has already been ruled out, which is obviously big for C.J. Stroud, Nico Collins, and the rest of the Texans' passing attack.

The game kicks off at 4:30pm ET. ESPN/ABC, ESPN+, and ESPN Deportes will carry the broadcast.
