Found October 30, 2012 on NFL Trade Rumors:
Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has been frustrated with running back Ben Tate as he hasn’t been able to stay healthy this season. “My biggest level of concern with Tate is just keeping him on the field,” Kubiak said, per Tania Ganguli of the Houston Chronicle. “It seems like it’s been one thing after another. If it’s not the toe, the hamstring. This has been going on for a few years. We need him.” Tate has been bothered all season long by toe and hamstring injuries, which has limited him to just 43 carries in just six games. It’s looking more and more likely that Tate will be out for this Sunday’s game as the the Texans host the Bills. Justin Forsett would replace Tate as Arian Foster‘s backup.

Tate's health issues leave Texans' running attack short-handed

The Houston Texans take a lot of pride in being able to control the ball. They lead the NFL with an average time of possession of 35 minutes, 23 seconds. They ranked first last season, too. Coach Gary Kubiak believes it's a necessity for an offense to have two good running backs it can count on if it plans to run effectively and use the clock. Houston has one back it can...

AFC-leading Texans back to work after bye

The Houston Texans secured the AFC's best record before using their bye for a long break to rest and recharge. Now they chase their goal of reaching the Super Bowl. Texans built for sustained success

Editor’s Note: When we contacted Barrett Walton about contributing to our pick segment last week we also asked what his thoughts were on how the Texans were sitting heading into the second half of the season. I think he warned me once previously, when he did a Q&A interview for us during the offseason, that brevity was not a strong suit. He gave us way more insight than we...

Bills-Texans Preview

Though no one has run the ball more often than the AFC-leading Houston Texans, coach Gary Kubiak is looking for better production from his backfield. Houston should be able to find plenty of running room Sunday against the league's worst rush defense. With both teams coming off byes, the Texans will surely look to get their ground game going against the Buffalo Bills, who are...
