Texans free safety Danieal Manning underwent surgery today to repair a broken fibula in his left leg. The Texans expect him to return after four weeks or so and didn't place him on injured reserve. "We think theres an opportunity for him to come back this year," Texans coach Gary Kubiak said in remarks distributed by the team. "Time frame-wise, I cant give you an answer on something like that right now, but I think were definitely talking about four weeks, somewhere four weeks and beyond, whatever thats going to be. Wed love to wait on Danieal. Wed love to get him back before this seasons over. So, we did the work today and then well see how the progression goes over the course of the next three weeks and see if thats going to be a possibility, but right now we think it is. Thats good news. Troy Nolan will start in Manning's place. Source: Scout.com

That's what coaches do stay upbeat when despair seems appropriate and throttle back the enthusiasm when the fan base is ready to hold a parade. It's all part of keeping the team focused...

That being said, let us dissect some of the game and see why the Texans...
