Texans FS Danieal Manning Has Surgery To Repair Broken Fibula

Texans free safety Danieal Manning underwent surgery today to repair a broken fibula in his left leg. The Texans expect him to return after four weeks or so and didn't place him on injured reserve. "We think there’s an opportunity for him to come back this year," Texans coach Gary Kubiak said in remarks distributed by the team. "Time frame-wise, I can’t give you an answer on something like that right now, but I think we’re definitely talking about four weeks, somewhere four weeks and beyond, whatever that’s going to be. We’d love to wait on Danieal. We’d love to get him back before this season’s over. So, we did the work today and then we’ll see how the progression goes over the course of the next three weeks and see if that’s going to be a possibility, but right now we think it is. That’s good news.” Troy Nolan will start in Manning's place.
