Cornerback Brice McCain is the latest Houston Texans
defender to sustain an injury this season, as the cornerback had surgery to
repair his broken foot Monday and is expected to miss “about six weeks,”
according to Tania Ganguli of the Houston Chronicle.

The injury could sideline McCain through the remainder of
the season, or he could return this year if the team advances deep into the
McCain was one of the Texans starting cornerbacks Sunday
when they took on the Tennessee Titans. He usually lines up as the team’s slot
corner, but he was replacing injured starter Jonathan Joseph in the lineup.
Beyond Joseph, fellow cornerback Alan Ball has also been hampered by injuries
so the Texans could be thin at the position this weekend against the New
Houston is already without linebacker Brian Cushing for the
season, and they played without linebackers Brooks Reed and Bradie James, who
are recovering from injuries, this weekend.
