It has taken most of a season, but Gary Kubiak thinks the Houston Texans finally caught a lucky break with an injury.
Receiver Andre Johnson, who pulled up lame in Sunday's win over the Atlanta Falcons, is day-to-day with a hamstring injury, Kubiak said.
"It is a mild hamstring, so we're very fortunate," Kubiak said. "We do expect him back and hopefully sooner than later. Today, we feel very fortunate."
Johnson missed six weeks with an injury to his right hamstring earlier this year, and only returned from that injury last week. This injury is to his right hamstring and should have him back on the field this week or next.
The way the Texans' season has gone, that qualifies as a lucky break. Beside the other Johnson injury, Houston has lost its top two quarterbacks, defensive end Mario Williams and now punter Brett Hartman, for the season. Hartman tore his ACL Sunday.
